yesterday i created a thread asking for obscure nootropics since i’ve already tried all of the well-known ones (such as modafinil, racetams of all kinds, bromantane, noopept, semax, selank, etc.) and didn’t really get anything crazy out of it, only minor benefits. https://looksmax.org/threads/nootropics-help.1926768/#post-26888887

i’ve been reading more and more and i’ve come to look into the cholinergic side of things since it seems like all racetams rely heavily on acetylcholine for optimal efficacy.

now i’m wondering if the reason i didn’t get much out of racetams might be because i wasn’t supporting the cholinergic system enough.

has anyone here noticed that racetams were more effective after stacking something like alpha-gpc, cdp-choline, or huperzine a? curious to know if it’s not all bro science.

I don’t think primarily cholinergic nootropics are all that tbh. I doubt you would notice any effects even with supplementary cholinergic support. You could try donepezil and see if you notice similar effects to the racetams

unfortunatly i dont have experience with racetams at all. if you do try choline based supplements to make racetams more effective id love to see a post about it. my experience with nootropics is very minimal and nothing crazy, just gorilla mind rush and smooth, gnc amplified focus (basically caffine pills with herbs), semax, and armodafinal/artvigil 150mg but i only take half doses to lengthen my current supply.

i am unfortunately not super knowledgeable in nootropics. however on the topic of cholinergic system, i have been doing diaphragm & psoas muscle releases 2-3x daily for the last 3 weeks. they both contract thru cholinergic signaling, especially during sleep. i release them with a peanut and lacrosse ball based on taigberg on tiktok videos, and i sleep in a chin tuck with no pillow to keep my airway open to encourage parasympathetic breathing. my mind is calmer, and i find i don't have to take adderall on the weekend. will make a post on this once i have released both those muscles and observed the changes for 2-3 months.
