I hate not growing up bilingual, ideally you want to grow up english-spanish or english-russian (obviously no gook or curry parents)

What's interesting is that it seems like language learning only works when you do it yourself and you want to enjoy things in that language. There are places like in quebec where french classes are mandatory but when students graduate they test them and they are not even remotely fluent. They cant even read a french newspaper. Meanwhile this board full of psl autists and nutjobs who never took language classes has probably close to half of the users bilingual to some degree.
