I actually tried looksmaxxing for 90 days — here’s what made the biggest difference
I see a lot of people on here asking what they should do to improve their looks, but a lot of the advice ends up being either overcomplicated or focused on stuff that barely matters.
So I decided to stop obsessing over it and actually test things for myself.
Before I started, I honestly wasn’t at my best. I wasn’t ugly or anything, but I looked like someone who didn’t really take care of himself.
My starting point:
What I changed:
1. Started lifting consistently
This was probably the biggest change. I wasn’t trying to become a bodybuilder, I just focused on building some muscle, losing some fat, and looking healthier.
A better physique changes your whole appearance, especially your face.
2. Fixed my hair
I underestimated how much this matters. A good haircut that fits your face shape can completely change how you look.
A lot of people are walking around with a hairstyle that’s fighting against their features.
3. Took skincare seriously
Nothing crazy:
4. Improved my style
I stopped buying clothes just because they looked good on a model. Fit matters way more than the brand.
A simple outfit that fits properly will always look better than expensive clothes that don’t suit you.
5. Worked on confidence
I know some people hate hearing this, but it’s true. Looking better made me more confident, and being more confident made me come across better.
It’s not just about your face. The way you carry yourself changes how people see you.
The biggest thing I learned is that looksmaxxing isn’t usually one giant transformation. It’s a bunch of small improvements that add up over time.
Most people don’t need some insane surgery plan. They need to fix the basics they’ve been ignoring.
What do you guys think is the biggest underrated looksmax: gym, hair, skin, style, or something else?

Before I started, I honestly wasn’t at my best. I wasn’t ugly or anything, but I looked like someone who didn’t really take care of himself.
My starting point:
- Sleep schedule was terrible
- Skin was inconsistent
- Barely had a real gym routine
- Hair was just whatever
- My posture was bad
- My clothes didn’t really fit my build
- I had no idea how to take good pictures

Nothing crazy:
- Cleanser
- Moisturizer
- Sunscreen
