Losing lean mass instead of body fat. What to do?

Came down from 23.5 to 18.9 and since the Ive lost like 1.5kg but my body fat seems to be the same. I’m using the most basic method available online that measures neck, waist etc.

Should I increase calories or should I try to eat more protein. I’d be around 0.8g/lb right now although on some days I am lower.

in order to keep your muscle when in a calorie deficit:feelswah: you need to be working out your muscles just as hard as you was working them out when you was bulking

that should help and 1 gram of protein per lb is more than enough

I workout, although I don’t lift. I just do body weight exercises

JFL if you think your going to build muscle just doing body weight exercises

Same principles apply to calisthenics. Don't be doing sets of 100 push ups.
 
resistance training, not too big of a calorie deficit
