If you have ever felt like you missed an opportunity in life, remember my story

When I was 17, I was working like hell in a nightclub as a waiter’s assistant. I’m tall, and back then I was in my prime. One night I was bringing food to a table where the club’s staged guests were sitting (models hired to energize the crowd and get people onto the dance floor) As I placed a plate of food on the table, a woman around 40 started staring at me intensely

The next thing she said stayed with me for life

“You shouldn’t be working here with looks like that.”

I was really happy to hear such a compliment, but I didn’t take it seriously. Then she asked for my phone number and once again said that I didn’t need to work there because I could be a model

As you probably guessed, she was a scout

She didn’t call the next day. Later, I called her myself. She said she remembered me and would call me back on Monday when she was at the office

I forgot about it because I was working and never called her again, and she also forget about me i gues

That’s how it ended

After that, I worked many different jobs, but it hurt me to carry bags of sand or clean another table knowing that a modeling scout once told me I didn’t have to work like that with looks like mine

To this day, 2 years later, I still think about how my life might have turned out if I had called her and reminded her about myself
