I always thought that love island and shows like that were supposed to be with the more attractive people, but if you look around at Love Island Denmark, Love Island Australia and just all different kind of countries, the guys are usually normies at best, with 2 or 3 chadlites there, and there are legit some PSL 4.5-5 women on the show as well. This might be something that I have noticed due to the autism that I have got from visiting these looksmaxing sites, but it's honestly kind of true.
On the Danish version there are even some straight up ugly guys in there, makes no sense.
