i used to have braces for my overbite, but after some time my teeth came back to original place even when i used the retainers (i forgot to use them sometimes)

is a mandibular osteotomy (lower jaw surgery) a good idea? so that i align my teeth and my jaw doesnt look weak as fuck anymore

Depends on the Class of the malocclusion.

Go to an airway orthodontist, an overbite usually means a narrow airway.

I had camouflage orthodontics for a class II and have a narrow airway, I now am in the process of getting double jaw surgery which could have been prevented.
