yeah i feel like the search feature not being available for non-members will drive users to sign up in order to search up specific information on whatever they want to looksmax with, and also prevent users from leaving bc of the assholes trying to ruin the lives of the normal people on here which are potential customers

there are always more lurkers than not, and this is a good move to not only keep the existing userbase, it would help introduce more users to make more posts and generate more revenue.

at the same time, the addition of the search feature to non-members allows any social media influencer to acquire as much information needed to create content thus driving more attention and interest torward this website …

I mean the site does try to limit you after 10 searches unless you sign up.
