Maintenance calories question

When calculating maintenance calories using tdeecalculator.net does it assume you walk a number of steps per day?

e.g if your maintenance is 2400kcal from exercising 1-2 times per week but walk 10k steps per day is 2400 calories still your maintenance or does ur expenditure increase

it really depends on what your goals are cutting, getting bigger, or maintaining, if in deficit you're losing weight and if there's a surplus you're gaining its simple as that, 1kg of body weight is about 8K calories for reference.

If you're trying to get a baseline maintenance use sedentary as a measurement, + estimate calories lost during the 10k steps use strava if you ain't go anything fancy to measure. i think that would be a better way to speculate the right maintenance calories for you
