Manchester City will win the treble this season

No, they wouldn't. We're talking about Real Madrid, the biggest club in the world, who could sign virtually any player in the world.
If they wanted De Bruyne, they would have gotten him a long time ago.
But the truth of the matter is that they got 2 superior players in his role: Kroos and Modric, who were key in winning them 3 and 4 CL trophies respectively. So no need to downgrade.

There simply isn't a whole load of excitement surrounding a player, almost 30 years of age, with no CL or World Cup pedigree.
So Benzema is better than Lewandowski cause he has more champions leagues? Benzema is a worse player than Lewandowski but he fits Real Madrid more so he’s in the team, not Lewandowski.

Modric and Kroos are perfect for their role in the team and compliment each other perfectly, have chemistry with everyone else. Real Madrid relied on years of teamwork to become extremely fluid and competent in their style. They didn’t need De Bruyne or Pogba or another fancy guy.

He believes in Pep and knows he has a great team that wins titles so he always has hope they’ll win CL, he won’t just jump to say a Bayern just because they won it recently. Imagine having the most successful manager and being in one of the best teams in the world, you’d never want to leave. Why don’t all elite players just move to the team that’s the best in the world? That just isn’t possible due to a variety of reasons. He’s simply unlucky that they’ve underperformed and Sterling is a retarded nigger.

Kroos and Modric have to control the midfield, not assist and score, so their job is much easier to do in a big game than De Bruyne who has to do everything perfectly and rely on his strikers to finish his passes and make good movement. His job is much harder than Kroos and Modric’s.
Tbh i think he is going to leave when i watched his body language last season he looked very frustrated, i see him passing the ball less and try to win the game by himself more frequently and that's understandable when you watch how passive city can be sometime.

That's what he does you can win some games like that but not a competition by yourself
So why hasn't he moved to a team that supposedly doesn't have any bottlers?

The challenge of trying to win with this team and its not like city have 0 chance to win the ucl

they dont need them since their players are better

Then why dont Madrid just sign Kimmich and Alphonso Davies and Robertson and lewandowski and van dijk then?
Because they had Carvajal (Best RB in the world, during those 3 CLs they won in a row) and if you're wanna talk about his current position, defensive midfielder, they had Casemiro playing there (best defensive midfielder in the world as well by that time).

Marcelo is the best left-back of all-time, so again, no need for that.

Ramos (best defender of all time)-Varane is one of the best CB pairings of all time. Again, no need.

Benzema is one of the best strikers of all time and above all, linked up perfectly with CR7, no need to get Lewandowksi in.

Yes, Benzema is actually a generational striker. Far greater legacy than Lewandowski. He was key in winning RM 4 CL titles, I'm yet to see Lewandowksi do anything remotely close to that.

......

Exactly my point. They already have a world class reliable striker so why waste money and effort to replace them with a new one who's only slightly better?

Modric and kroos are world class. They're reliable and have been in the team for a long time so have settled in and have chemistry with the players. Therefore, despite de bruyne being slightly better than both of them, there's no reason to bring him in and replace them.

If lewandowski was there instead of benzema they would've won just as many trophies if not more.

Also lewandowski will win the balon dor this year. Has benzema ever won a balon dor? No.

But maybe he's scared to leave his comfort zone, as at a club like RM he would actually have to perform on the big stage, otherwise, the fans would crucify him (see Bale).

Also, Kroos and Modric have far more defensive responsibilities than De Bruyne, let's not get it twisted. They drop back deep to collect the ball, defend AND create. If anything, their job is far more versatile and harder than the one De Bruyne has.

Plus Kroos was an elite playmaker at Bayern. In terms of playing positions, he has proven himself as a #6, #8 AND as a #10, that's literally unheard of. Once again, theres levels to this.
Kroos and Modric and Casemiro helped each other in midfield, and made each other better. Their roles were similar so they didn’t have to rely on having a crazy individual performance to stand out. De Bruyne has no one to help him. All he has is Sterling and Aguero and Jesus to finish his chances. No one in midfield to help him out, Fernandinho just isn’t as good as Modric and Kroos.

If you want a similar situation for Kroos as De Bruyne, get rid of Modric and Casemiro and replace them with slightly worse players on Fernandinho’s level like Arthur and Saul Niguez. He won’t play as well and will most likely need to carry which is much harder.

De Bruyne simply has shit teammates and is unlucky they underperform

Still no valid argument as to why De Bruyne is supposedly better than them, though. It's been disproven.

Again, woulda could shoulda.

Nedved won a Ballon d'Or over Henry, it means very little.

Lewandowski is winning the balon dor because he actually deserves it. Top scorer of the season and won everything. Miles better than benzema

Lewandowski is so asymmetric have u seen him in a photo?

No I believe u.

What's Ur play style?

I started out playing RW. I could dribble like Messi but couldn't head the ball and my shots had zero power and accuracy so I played RB. I pretty much played like Alphonso Davies cuz of my pace and I remember I scored my only goal when I ran past 4 players including the goalie starting from my half of the pitch and then walked the ball into the goal.

My passing and shooting were just awful tho I genuinely have no idea how to pass n shoot accurately. All I had was dribbling, pace, strength and stamina.

I had to leave the team tho cuz everyone was making fun of my appearance including opposition at some points.
i played almost always rw and sometimes rb and striker
tbh the best comparision i can remember is probably ben arfa, i was elite on dribbling and also pretty good on passing and pace, i had shit shot, stamina, and didn't have enough balls to be more physical when i was bigger than most people (which is weird when now on american football really like going for the contact when i'm smaller than most people)

ironically, my coaches always complained that i had no confidence, but i was legit a cuck on the field, i always wanted to let others make the big plays when i basically could do them myself, if you know what i mean. in my team we had a black guy who did tryouts for barça and trained with people like xavi simons and ansu fati, now he plays on a top 5 u18 team in spain
idk if you saw this thread

Am I supposed to believe all of them underperformed every single time, on the big stage, with De Bruyne being the exception?

and probably my biggest highlight was having to defend this guy for a whole game, he was legit one of the best prospects on the world and then dipped when people realized he just had early puberty (like me)

Do you know the goalie of real Madrid? He's 17 or 18 and went to my school for a year. I dunno if he ever went back to Spain tho. He got kicked out cuz they had 4 goalies and he was the shortest of the four. I forgot his name but if u say his name then I might remember.

Also what's football like in the US? Surely it's 10 times easier.

Benzema is more complete, he is like R9 and Zidane rolled into 1. Lewandowski is a goal-scoring machine, much more one-dimensional.

I guess that confirms Pep isn't the best coach in the world after all. Surely the best coach in the world actually be capable of singing world-class midfielders?

7 league titles
4 CL titles

And instrumental in all of them, the achievements speak for themselves.

But seriously, what other striker in the world has the same goal-scoring + play-making abilities, that Benzema has?
None. And he's been doing it well over a decade now.

Salludon is better than modric kroos and de bruyne combined. He's already scored 7 goals in the PL this season.
