Okay so i have this problem with my mandible because from the left side profile my mandible is about 91 mm and my face from left side overall looks pretty good but from the right side my mandible is 80mmđź«© and my face looks way shorter with no forward growth, im still 16 is there any way other than surgery that can fix this?

Im talking only about the body of the mandible not including ramus

is the right side of ur face smaller than ur left like asymetrical?

Yeah but i feel like my upper jaw is fine, difference isnt visible that much but with mandible its pretty visible since its 1 cm difference and it steals my forward growth on right side

i have the same but my left side loooks like it has forward growth but my right side looks projected and good from the right from what i have researched this can be a asymmetrical maxillary expansion from bone trauma by habits like sleeping on one side or maybe if u have a overbite or any crooked teeth or bite problems it can be that or its u leaning ur head on one side or chewing on one side more than the other i still dont know alot what causes this im still doing my research

Yeah bro im cooked lol i was chewing with my left side my whole life and sleeping on my belly, i dont really worry about it because theres still jaw surgery that fixes assymetry in the future

same here brother same here but hey were both 16 17 ur bones are still developing not as full as before but maturing alot js keep ur tong on ur palate alot and more to the "bad" side and if theres no improvement then yeah surgery is a option

I have the same issue
Left side of mandible is longer, gonial angle is lower ramus slightly longer etc
For me, it's cause i have a bite issue as in an overbite on that side only (was born without a canine, ortho moved the teeth forwards and fucked me over) otherwise my bite is normal/perfect
My masseter muscles don't work evenly because i cant chew the same on both sides, left side is more overworked/stressed than the right
Your condyle adapts overtime, leading to the differences in mandible length, ramus etc
Assuming you don't have a bite issue, it could be because of your chewing patterns (mostly/only on one side) your masseter gets overworked and your condyle adapts or just genetics
Probably a mix of both.
If it's already noticeable you cant reverse it, the only fix is surgery. Just be more aware, the most you can do is stop it from getting worse that's it. (If it's because of chewing on one side)

This is probably the main cause. Chewing with one side and sleeping on your stomach causes all kinds of other issues, I suggest you stop and switch over to your side if you haven't already
Back is probably the worst, I don't recommend it there's risks for sleep apnea mouth breathing etc.
Sleeping on your side is the best and won't make you asymmetrical as long as you switch, even if you don't it wont be noticeable really. Your skull is not that malleable you're not an infant.
