I have a healthy bite, without any problems, it’s seen in the photo I attached and dentist said same thing when I asked him. But despite this my facial convexity is 154 and I’m obviously recessed. So why is it? Is my mandible short? Cuz it doesn’t look like I have HUGE problems with the bony chin itself. I asked this many times in past but never got a clear answer

Both jaws are recessed have u had braces before

Either your bite adapted naturally or you have undergone camouflage orthodontics. Either way, both the mandible and chin lack forward growth. So, as illustrated in the morph below, you could fix that with a BSSO and a genioplasty + orthodontics.

Facial convexity remains subpar in the morph above. This can be explained by two anatomical factors : (1) your anterior nasal spine is projected quite far forward ; and (2) your radix and brow ridge are set too far back ; the radix in particular looks recessed and could benefit from a graft that would straighten the nose (without altering the dorsum).
Morph setting the ANS back, while projecting the brow ridge & radix forward :

Facial convexity is now within ideal range, whether you measure it from the nasion or the glabella.
Does it really matter ? I don't think so. As illustrated in the morph below, fix your mandible, chin, and radix, and you'll be good, even if facial convexity remains unideal.

No I didn’t. My dentist said I don’t need nothing to improve my bite. I had minimum intervention in my oral area at all. Just a few holes he closed throughout my life, nothing more

Absolutely appreciate it, I finally understood it, but I’d like to ask 1 thing, because I doubt I’ll get enough money to get bsso and genioplasty, you’d think it’s worth getting genio alone? Alongside with orthodontics? Because form what I’ve seen this surgery does wonders on some guys.
