Mandibular retainer 3x3, does it causes mandibular recession or expansion or nothing

I just got a mandibular retainer 3x3 on my lower incisors. I never had any orthodontic treatments before. I was wondering how it will affect the forward growth especially of the mandibule (counter clock wise expansion of the bone). I'm a 24 yo male.

Counter clockwise = good
Clockwise = bad
Im a retard so don't listen to what I have to say on this but I think it might improve ur gonial angle, idk
