Marpe, is it Ascension or descension device?

I’m getting MARPE mainly for breathing issues, and my ortho said I’ll probably end up with around 8mm–1cm of expansion.

For anyone who’s been through MARPE, did you notice any actual aesthetic changes? Stuff like cheekbones, midface support, under-eye area, jaw width, etc.


Also, did anyone look worse from it? Like face asymmetry i see with mse? Just trying to know what to expect while fixing my breathing.

If you have breathing issues, and your actually supposed to get MARPE it will ascend you. The only time it descends someone is when they larp to get it, when it isn't even necessary.
