MARPE with close-set eyes / short IPD. could expansion make eye spacing look worse?

If I get MARPE, will it make my face wider horizontally? And if it does, could that actually make my IPD/eye spacing look even shorter aesthetically?

For context, I already have close-set eyes:
- ESR: ~44%
- One Eye Apart Test: ~0.95

That’s why I’m kinda unsure about MARPE. I know it can improve a lot of things aesthetically — wider smile, better dental show (like going from an 8-tooth smile to 10 teeth showing), better palate width, more zygomatic projection, etc.

But in my case, if MARPE widens my face without changing orbital spacing/IPD, wouldn’t that make my eyes look even closer together proportionally? Like could it worsen the close-set look or lower perceived ESR even more?

Anyone here with short IPD / close-set eyes who did MARPE?

yeah it can make your esr worse, but i dont think it changes ipd at all very minor
