Im currently looking for a clinic. I searched up Marpe online and clinics popped up. The logical thing would be going to one, but b4 that I want to ask if that is good or a waste of time?

I dont have any reason for getting marpe except for wanting better looks, but not due to health issues (as far as i know jfl ). Do I go to one of the NORMAL clinics -im afraid that its just a waste of time and doc will say "you dont have any health issues, no". Obviously I wont get it paid by insurance but ykwim- for Marpe or to a plastic surgery clinic?

Well it matters since if the palate with is good then expanding would only bring negatives, in your case yeah you could definitely use one and get benefits, like 4-6mm skeletal would be great even for nasal airways

Then bring up the palate issue you think you have
The surgeon alredy knows that you are there for looks so no issue telling him about that too
As having a good maxilla Is crucial for the mandible,
Unless the surgeon says he can widen your maxilla in a surgery(possible buy rare)

Similar to the commonly known "Marpe" however is different. Ive personally had the RMEP twice and its wonderful fixed my overbite complelety also made fixed asymmetry acrosss my entire face (my ortho saved me)

I have the same intermodal width with a narrow recessed maxilla, I think marpe is the best non surgical treatment for it but the problem is that my case isn't severe for marpe especially in England where they don't like giving stuff like this out

I don't even know if there are places where they'll give you a palate expander regardless of your teeth/bite being usual. But going to a regular orthodontist is a waste of time I can guarantee you this.

The slight change is not worth the money at all, either way. You'll waste time and money.
