Im suprised by the kind of tweets I've read online thinking mass deportation is a new thing it is many people don't know this Mass deportations in the United States is not a new phenomenon at all. It goes back to centuries literally since the time U.S was founded there were anti immigrant sentiments In the 1930s, during the Great Depression, the U.S. government initiated the Mexican Repatriation removing 400,000 to 2 million people of Mexican descent including many U.S. citizens due to the same economic fears and xenophobia that people have now because the Mexicans were blamed for under cutting and lowering the wages and were taking jobs from "real Americans."
