All these retards coping with meclizine and how it will make them turn into a 6'4 terrachad but because of biology this shit is not possible to save every 5'3 filipino .
How it works
meclizine has been proven to suppress FGFR3 (fibroblast growth factor receptor 3). When FGFR3 is hyperactive this receptor serves as a form of brake on bone growth which has the capacity to slow or restrict lengthening of the bone and particularly in the development stages. Because of these shitty studies these people think that the inhibition of FGFR3 using meclizine would inevitably stimulate bone development and subsequently height.
However, meclizine does not do that. Normally in the body, there is a growth control of bones and cartilage which is regulated by a molecule known as CNP (C-type natriuretic peptide). CNP stimulates its receptor, NPR-B, that raises cGMP levels (cyclic guanosine monophosphate). This mechanism results in ion channel activation (especially TRPM7), enzyme activation leading to the growth of chondrocytes essentially, the healthy proliferation of cartilage cells that help with the development of bones. Meclizine blocks FGFR3, but does not involve the whole CNP- cGMP signal pathway. It does not reproduce the same chain of the events that CNP initiates. Since it bypasses this system, there is a possibility that the lifetime result of meclizine may be less CNP to chondrocyte membranes produced or transported by the body. This may establish a vicious circle where CNP is lowering its growth promoting effects and, in fact, it may actually cause decreased rather than increased cartilage proliferation.
But because this is the real world and not some fantasy Meclizine doesnt work like that even though it is an anti-FGFR3, but it does not offer the breadth of biological activity, which would support actual, balanced bone development.

is it worth taking or not? does fgfr3 inhib in someone without achondroplasia even have any benefits in the first place? id assume the only reason why meclizine increases height is because its used on people with overactive fgfr3 whereas someone with normal signaling would have no effects?
