I used to know nothing about Microneedling a year ago. Microneedling is when you rapidly stab your face with metal needles usually using an electric powdered device to look better.
Jokes aside, Microneedling is when you use either a Dermaroller [dermacoper], Microneedling pen or a Dermastamp to essentially make micro-punctured in your skin. This is for 2 main reasons.
1: It triggers your body's natural healing response, making your body produce and send Collagen and Elastin to the surface of your skin [making your skin look much more youthful and firmer (less wrinkly/saggy)].
2: It allows products that otherwise have a hard time penetrating the skin [such as Hyaluronic acid] to bypass the outerlayers of the skin
It also is great for increasing hair thickness in an area [good for norwooding men] but I'll talk about that later

The model in this picture is wearing makeup and her skin is clear, in reality it'd be red. Not an issue having microneedles rapidly stab your skin because you should use numbing cream before, which is easy peasy and cheap, trust.
For the redness, yes during and after you will have red skin, only for a day, MAX 2. This is easily fixable by just doing it on the weekends when you're at home and nobody will see you except family.
But is it actually all that good?
Yes. Compared to Topical Retinol and Accutane, Microneedling mogs when it comes to increasing derma-collagen levels.

This study I am about to show you will shock you, will blow your fucking mind.
The study reported a 400% increase in collagen and elastin production after 6 months of treatment.
I thought it was BS too. Now obviously that 400% increase does not mean that a 60 year old who's collagen production is only at 20%, if he starts microneedling, his collagen will go back to 100% [look at graph in the next spoiler] and he will look like a 15 year old or something. Because this only applies to derma-collagen, the collagen in the rest of your body, blood, tendons, hair, nails, the skin that's not your face matters more to your skin's youthfulness than just the collagen that's directly on your skin.
Though what this does say for certain, is apart from maybe direct collagen injections or PRP, which are both procedures I doubt 5% of the people reading would ever get [because most people here are dreamers] Microneedling is the best way to increase collagen in your skin. More than RETINOL, more than ACCUTANE, more thsn COLLAGEN CREAM/SUPPLEMENTS.
The only thing that can shine a light to Microneedling when it comes to increasing collagen, except collagen injections and PRP which I write about here, is being younger in age

Collagen production = go down significantly as you age starting from birth and rapidly accelerating once you're 30
At 20: you start losing 1% collagen production per year
At 25: you start losing 1.5% collagen production per year
This collagen production decrease is the main reason you start looking older and more wrinklier and less youthful as time goes on. This + natural hyaluronic acid production goes down + elastin production goes down + DHT goes up = Agepill hits hard

Microneedling stimulates all types of collagen from 1-7, Retinol does the same except for type 6, and Accutane just gets mogged by both since it only stimulates type 1, 3 and 5, and even then it's stimulation is very limited. It only stimulates type 1 to a moderate degree which doesn't matter since both Retinol and Microneedling strongly stimulate type 1 collagen so it get's mogged at the only thing it's good at when it comes to derma-collagen. So topical Retinol is the main contender against Microneedling when it comes to stimulating derma-collagen, therefore we will compare them both.
Tl;Dr:COLLAGEN TYPE 1:[REMEMBER, THIS IS ONLY REGARDING DERMA-COLLAGEN]

Microneedling mogs Retinol in Collagen type 1 stimulation, though Retinol still strongly stimulates type 1 in the skin, just not to the degree of Microneedling. As you probably know, plastic surgery was invented to treat disfigured veterans after WWI. 95% of beauty products/methods are just repurposed medical products/methods. The medicine side of biology discovers a new molecule/surgery method/some protein or peptide or whatever, and the beauty industry looks at it and says "oo I can use that", which is where Microneedling comes from. Microneedling was first used [and still is] to treat wounds and scars, and skin conditions like Epidermolysis Bullosa. And through studies on those types of wounds and on Microneedling we know that Microneedle Induces deeper fibroblast activity and remodeling via wound healing to such a degree that I don't think a topical or ingestable product will ever be in the market that will stimulate collagen 1 more than Microneedling does.
For Collagen 1, Microneedling mogs to gandy, though you guys shouldn't underestimate Retinol's ability to stimulate it aswell.

Microneedling stimulates collagen type 3 almost as much as it does type 1, poor Retinol's ability to stimulate collagen 3 doesn't come as very close to it's ability to stimulate collagen type 3. THOUGH THIS IS NOT TO SAY THAT IT DOESN'T STIMULATE COLLAGEN 3 TO A MODERATE DEGREE. Microneedling just has more of a consistent increase of collagen type 3 through dermal healing cascade, which has been proven through studies.

COLLAGEN TYPE 5 & 6:Microneedling: Could not find a specific one for Microneedling. Usually I would assume that means it doesn't boost it at all, though when 1 type of collagen in the skin is stimulates, type 4 will always be more stimulated aswell.

We don't really care about these 2 just know Microneedling is MUCH MUCH better than Retinol at increasing these 2 types of collagen.

Now I do actually believe Retinol does increase this type of collagen because they are alot of studies that say "Retinol yadda yadda yadda.. increases type 7 collagen and blah blah blah" but there is no study which purpose is to show it increases type 4 collagen, nor is there a study that CITES a study that does this that I can quote.
What this means: Retinol definitley DOES increase type 7 collagen in my opinion, just from my biology knowledge and the studies I've eyeballed though whether it's significant or consistent I have no idea.
For Microneedling it does, studies have shown Microneedling regenerates type 7 collagen in damaged skin during healing, so for that I'm going to say Microneedling mogs Retinol in the collagen 7 stimulation department.

Accutane is actually pretty mid and increasing derma-collagen, it's really goated for acne but when it comes to derma-collagen [the collagen in your skin], Retinol is actually better

How do I actually Microneedle?:
This section of the guide will be a polished reformatted version of this one. Reason I'm basically remastering it instead of just providing the link is because it's genuine eye cancer to look at and I don't want my readers to go blind.
Also there is quite a bit that the guide linked gets wrong like needing disinfrectant spray and the price of the pen and many more.
What you will need:
Face wipes - 20 wipes will be 2 euros so 0.10 euros per treatment
Microneedling pen - 55 euro
Numbing cream with Licodaine AND prilocaine [2.5% each] - Under a euro's worth per treatment [maybe 0.90 euros]
Microneedle cartridge - 0.4 euros per cartridge if you buy in bulk
[40 euro for 100 cartidges, though when you buy the dermapen you will recieve about 5 which should cover you for 5 months anyways]
Per treatment cost after initial buying of the dermapen - 1.4 euros only
Recommended additions:
Medical gloves [to stop bacteria from hands] - 0.10 euros per pair per treatment
Hyaluronic Acid [preferably from L'Oreal though that's my bias] - .50 per treatment
Per treatment cost if you don't cheap out and use recommended additions- 2.0 euros only
Keep in mind before you start, you should only microneedle every 28 days. Any more lessens results, any less will cause side effects.
Step 1:
DO NOT DO THE TREATMENT IF IN THE LAST 8 HOURS YOU'VE USED ANY SKINCARE OR FACIAL PRODUCT
Wipe your face with the face wipes. Water is not enough, you must use them. To balance the pH of your skin, to remove bacteria, to avoid skin irritation, everything.
Step 2 [Optional]:
Wash your hands, dry them, put on the medical gloves.
The gloves are optional, washing your hands isn't. WASH YOUR FUCKING HANDS TO AVOID SKIN IRRITATION
Step 3:
Apply the numbing cream to your face. If you think you're adding too little you probably are. MICRONEEDLING HURTS. Even during the first treatment when you've applied the numbing cream there will be some parts of the skin that will sting anyways, remember which parts so you can add more cream in those areas in the next treatments. Make sure every millimetre of your skin is lightly coated in the numbing cream.
WAIT 30 MINUTES FOR IT TO DRY AND ABSORB INTO YOUR SKIN BEFORE CONTINUING
Step 4:
If there is still any numbing cream left, remove it VERY GENTLY, as light as possible with face wipes, then again wait for your face to dry from the face wipes.
[Optional] Coat every millimetre of your skin with Hyaluronic acid solution
Put a new cartridge into your dermapen, NEVER REUSE A CARTRIDGE, EVEN IF YOU CLEANSE IT. AFTER ONE USE THE NEEDLES WILL BE DULL. THEY'RE ONE USE ONLY.
Put your dermapen deepness at 1.5mm, and about 2 speed. You may differ from this as time goes on if you prefer, for example now adays I do it at 4 speed for face and 2 speed for nose, eyebrows and undereyes.
First the Forehead
Dark Purple lines: You will want to go down across from your entire Forehead like this
Hot Pink lines: Then across the entire forehead like this. Make sure every square centimetre has been microneedled

If your skin ever bleeds during, do not worry, just quickly wipe it with face wipes.
Step 5:
[Optional] Coat every millimetre of your skin with Hyaluronic acid solution again
Your skin will look Red/pinkish now. That's to be expected. It will stay like that for 1-2 days so preferably do it on Friday when weekend approaching. Trust me, it will be worth it.
Your treatment is now finished by this step.
DO NOT WASH YOUR FACE WITH WATER. DO NOT SHOWER. DO NOT SLEEP WITH ANY SIDE OF YOUR FACE TOUCHING THE BED. DO NOT GO OUTSIDE WHEN IT'S WINDY. DO NOT USE ANY SKINCARE OR PRODUCT ON YOUR FACE
After 24 hours and only after 24 hours may you put LUKEWARM water on your face and shower
[Try not to get any shampoo that touches your hair to touch your face, look up to have the shampoo fall down the back of your body. Shower with low water pressure]
After 48 hours you may start putting products back on your face.
MAKE SURE NOT TO TAKE ANY BLOOD THINNERS LIKE IBUPROFEN, OMEGA-3 OR TOPICAL VITAMIN SOLUTIONS 48 HOURS BEFORE AND AFTER MICRONEEDLING. THIS WILL FUCK U UP.
PAIN
From experience, this is the most painful parts of the face to microneedle, and therefore the parts of the face you should put more numbing cream on, in order
This will vary from person to person
1. Nose
Hurts the most. When I started I didn't use to put numbing cream. The nose is literally impossible to microneedle without numbing cream, it's like you're torturing youself. Imagine plucking out your nose hair, now imaging plucking out 10 nose hairs in the same spot every 0.2 seconds, that's how it feels like. I unironically skipped microneedling it until I got numbing cream.
ALWAYS USE NUMBING CREAM. It doesn't hurt if you put enough numbing cream btw.
2. Above the lips
Directly above the lips hurts the Second most, not as much as nose but still stings if you don't put numbing cream, so put numbing cream.
3. Undereyes
You should put as much numbing cream as you put on your nose, because of it's thinness, the under eyes have a harder time absorbing cream as the skin above the lips.
4. Forehead
Without numbing cream it's very discomforting to microneedlie.
5. The brows and to the sides of them
The skin of your eyebrows, even though covered with hair, is actually extremely sensitive. You might notice this when going to the beach and the salty water starts making your eyebrows sting. They don't hurt as much as nose because they're covered with hair but yes you should put numbing cream even on your eyebrows too.
6. Sides of face
Doesn't really hurt at all, and numbing cream essentially gaurantees no pain, especially the jaw.
7. Chin
Same as sides of face except even less pain tbh.

How do I Microneedle my Scalp?:
Apply the knowledge in the previous section, the only difference is
You can do it once a week instead of every 28 days
You CANNOT APPLY PRODUCTS like you can with skin, what I mean by this is with skin you can apply products like Hyaluronic Acid or anything else that normally has a hard time bypassing the top layer of your skin. With scalp the product you probably have in mind is topical minoxidil, finasteride and dutasteride. The reason you do not want that is they already cause skin irritation issues, so you would really want to not apply them within 24 hours both before and after microneedling. Don't worry, the benefits of that microneedling session will outway the 48 hours of not applying whatever product.
Tl;Dr:
________________________________________________________________________________Scalp same as face but you can do it every 7 days. Don't apply any hair products on scalp within 28 hours of microneedling both before and after
What Dermapen to Buy?:
I would only ever buy Dr. Pen dermapens. All the other pens on the market are literally just unbranded versions of this pen [Clones] or branded clones but branded by some random brand you've never heard of probably called something like EverLife or some shit.
I would recommend the Dr. Pen M8. It's usually under 50 GBP/Euros. Don't buy the expensive Dr. pens because those are specially made for clinics. They literally put AI in the pens to learn from the clinician's hand movements and shit which obviously autistic looksmaxxer in his room won't need. And honestly even though I have the money I don't plan on buying it either.
IF YOU'RE GOING TO BUY A DR.PEN MICRONEEDLING PEN, MAKE SURE NOT TO BUY IT FROM 3RD PARTY AND THAT THE SELLER IS DR. PEN THEMSELVES WHETHER YOU'RE ON ALIEXPRESS, EBAY OR ONBUY.

That aside, I don't see the appeal of them over dermapens. The face isnt a 2 dimensional objects, it has curves, protrusions, it goes deeper in some places. The derma pen allows you to be much more direct instead of just doing it in a general area. I feel like this would either partly or completely miss the deep parts of wrinkles, laugh lines, some acne scars and nasiolabial folds

Microneedling is when you rapidly stab your face with metal needles usually using an electric powdered device to look better.
Jokes aside, Microneedling is when you use either a Dermaroller [dermacoper], Microneedling pen or a Dermastamp to essentially make micro-punctured in your skin. This is for 2 main reasons.
1: It triggers your body's natural healing response, making your body produce and send Collagen and Elastin to the surface of your skin [making your skin look much more youthful and firmer (less wrinkly/saggy)].
2: It allows products that otherwise have a hard time penetrating the skin [such as Hyaluronic acid] to bypass the outerlayers of the skin
It also is great for increasing hair thickness in an area [good for norwooding men] but I'll talk about that later

The model in this picture is wearing makeup and her skin is clear, in reality it'd be red. Not an issue having microneedles rapidly stab your skin because you should use numbing cream before, which is easy peasy and cheap, trust.
For the redness, yes during and after you will have red skin, only for a day, MAX 2. This is easily fixable by just doing it on the weekends when you're at home and nobody will see you except family.

This study I am about to show you will shock you, will blow your fucking mind.
The study reported a 400% increase in collagen and elastin production after 6 months of treatment.
I thought it was BS too. Now obviously that 400% increase does not mean that a 60 year old who's collagen production is only at 20%, if he starts microneedling, his collagen will go back to 100% [look at graph in the next spoiler] and he will look like a 15 year old or something. Because this only applies to derma-collagen, the collagen in the rest of your body, blood, tendons, hair, nails, the skin that's not your face matters more to your skin's youthfulness than just the collagen that's directly on your skin.
Though what this does say for certain, is apart from maybe direct collagen injections or PRP, which are both procedures I doubt 5% of the people reading would ever get [because most people here are dreamers] Microneedling is the best way to increase collagen in your skin. More than RETINOL, more than ACCUTANE, more thsn COLLAGEN CREAM/SUPPLEMENTS.
The only thing that can shine a light to Microneedling when it comes to increasing collagen, except collagen injections and PRP which I write about here, is being younger in age

Microneedling stimulates all types of collagen from 1-7, Retinol does the same except for type 6, and Accutane just gets mogged by both since it only stimulates type 1, 3 and 5, and even then it's stimulation is very limited. It only stimulates type 1 to a moderate degree which doesn't matter since both Retinol and Microneedling strongly stimulate type 1 collagen so it get's mogged at the only thing it's good at when it comes to derma-collagen. So topical Retinol is the main contender against Microneedling when it comes to stimulating derma-collagen, therefore we will compare them both.

As you probably know, plastic surgery was invented to treat disfigured veterans after WWI. 95% of beauty products/methods are just repurposed medical products/methods. The medicine side of biology discovers a new molecule/surgery method/some protein or peptide or whatever, and the beauty industry looks at it and says "oo I can use that", which is where Microneedling comes from. Microneedling was first used [and still is] to treat wounds and scars, and skin conditions like Epidermolysis Bullosa. And through studies on those types of wounds and on Microneedling we know that Microneedle Induces deeper fibroblast activity and remodeling via wound healing to such a degree that I don't think a topical or ingestable product will ever be in the market that will stimulate collagen 1 more than Microneedling does.
For Collagen 1, Microneedling mogs to gandy, though you guys shouldn't underestimate Retinol's ability to stimulate it aswell.

What this means: Retinol definitley DOES increase type 7 collagen in my opinion, just from my biology knowledge and the studies I've eyeballed though whether it's significant or consistent I have no idea.
For Microneedling it does, studies have shown Microneedling regenerates type 7 collagen in damaged skin during healing, so for that I'm going to say Microneedling mogs Retinol in the collagen 7 stimulation department.

How do I actually Microneedle?:
This section of the guide will be a polished reformatted version of this one. Reason I'm basically remastering it instead of just providing the link is because it's genuine eye cancer to look at and I don't want my readers to go blind.
Also there is quite a bit that the guide linked gets wrong like needing disinfrectant spray and the price of the pen and many more.
What you will need:
Face wipes - 20 wipes will be 2 euros so 0.10 euros per treatment
Microneedling pen - 55 euro
Numbing cream with Licodaine AND prilocaine [2.5% each] - Under a euro's worth per treatment [maybe 0.90 euros]
Microneedle cartridge - 0.4 euros per cartridge if you buy in bulk
[40 euro for 100 cartidges, though when you buy the dermapen you will recieve about 5 which should cover you for 5 months anyways]
Per treatment cost after initial buying of the dermapen - 1.4 euros only
Recommended additions:
Medical gloves [to stop bacteria from hands] - 0.10 euros per pair per treatment
Hyaluronic Acid [preferably from L'Oreal though that's my bias] - .50 per treatment
Per treatment cost if you don't cheap out and use recommended additions- 2.0 euros only
Keep in mind before you start, you should only microneedle every 28 days. Any more lessens results, any less will cause side effects.
Step 1:
DO NOT DO THE TREATMENT IF IN THE LAST 8 HOURS YOU'VE USED ANY SKINCARE OR FACIAL PRODUCT
Wipe your face with the face wipes. Water is not enough, you must use them. To balance the pH of your skin, to remove bacteria, to avoid skin irritation, everything.
Step 2 [Optional]:
Wash your hands, dry them, put on the medical gloves.
The gloves are optional, washing your hands isn't. WASH YOUR FUCKING HANDS TO AVOID SKIN IRRITATION
Step 3:
Apply the numbing cream to your face. If you think you're adding too little you probably are. MICRONEEDLING HURTS. Even during the first treatment when you've applied the numbing cream there will be some parts of the skin that will sting anyways, remember which parts so you can add more cream in those areas in the next treatments. Make sure every millimetre of your skin is lightly coated in the numbing cream.
WAIT 30 MINUTES FOR IT TO DRY AND ABSORB INTO YOUR SKIN BEFORE CONTINUING
Step 4:
If there is still any numbing cream left, remove it VERY GENTLY, as light as possible with face wipes, then again wait for your face to dry from the face wipes.
[Optional] Coat every millimetre of your skin with Hyaluronic acid solution
Put a new cartridge into your dermapen, NEVER REUSE A CARTRIDGE, EVEN IF YOU CLEANSE IT. AFTER ONE USE THE NEEDLES WILL BE DULL. THEY'RE ONE USE ONLY.
Put your dermapen deepness at 1.5mm, and about 2 speed. You may differ from this as time goes on if you prefer, for example now adays I do it at 4 speed for face and 2 speed for nose, eyebrows and undereyes.
First the Forehead
Dark Purple lines: You will want to go down across from your entire Forehead like this
Hot Pink lines: Then across the entire forehead like this. Make sure every square centimetre has been microneedled

Your skin will look Red/pinkish now. That's to be expected. It will stay like that for 1-2 days so preferably do it on Friday when weekend approaching. Trust me, it will be worth it.
Your treatment is now finished by this step.
DO NOT WASH YOUR FACE WITH WATER. DO NOT SHOWER. DO NOT SLEEP WITH ANY SIDE OF YOUR FACE TOUCHING THE BED. DO NOT GO OUTSIDE WHEN IT'S WINDY. DO NOT USE ANY SKINCARE OR PRODUCT ON YOUR FACE
After 24 hours and only after 24 hours may you put LUKEWARM water on your face and shower
[Try not to get any shampoo that touches your hair to touch your face, look up to have the shampoo fall down the back of your body. Shower with low water pressure]
After 48 hours you may start putting products back on your face.
MAKE SURE NOT TO TAKE ANY BLOOD THINNERS LIKE IBUPROFEN, OMEGA-3 OR TOPICAL VITAMIN SOLUTIONS 48 HOURS BEFORE AND AFTER MICRONEEDLING. THIS WILL FUCK U UP.
PAIN
From experience, this is the most painful parts of the face to microneedle, and therefore the parts of the face you should put more numbing cream on, in order
This will vary from person to person
1. Nose
Hurts the most. When I started I didn't use to put numbing cream. The nose is literally impossible to microneedle without numbing cream, it's like you're torturing youself. Imagine plucking out your nose hair, now imaging plucking out 10 nose hairs in the same spot every 0.2 seconds, that's how it feels like. I unironically skipped microneedling it until I got numbing cream.
ALWAYS USE NUMBING CREAM. It doesn't hurt if you put enough numbing cream btw.
2. Above the lips
Directly above the lips hurts the Second most, not as much as nose but still stings if you don't put numbing cream, so put numbing cream.
3. Undereyes
You should put as much numbing cream as you put on your nose, because of it's thinness, the under eyes have a harder time absorbing cream as the skin above the lips.
4. Forehead
Without numbing cream it's very discomforting to microneedlie.
5. The brows and to the sides of them
The skin of your eyebrows, even though covered with hair, is actually extremely sensitive. You might notice this when going to the beach and the salty water starts making your eyebrows sting. They don't hurt as much as nose because they're covered with hair but yes you should put numbing cream even on your eyebrows too.
6. Sides of face
Doesn't really hurt at all, and numbing cream essentially gaurantees no pain, especially the jaw.
7. Chin
Same as sides of face except even less pain tbh.

How do I Microneedle my Scalp?:
Apply the knowledge in the previous section, the only difference is
You can do it once a week instead of every 28 days
You CANNOT APPLY PRODUCTS like you can with skin, what I mean by this is with skin you can apply products like Hyaluronic Acid or anything else that normally has a hard time bypassing the top layer of your skin. With scalp the product you probably have in mind is topical minoxidil, finasteride and dutasteride. The reason you do not want that is they already cause skin irritation issues, so you would really want to not apply them within 24 hours both before and after microneedling. Don't worry, the benefits of that microneedling session will outway the 48 hours of not applying whatever product.

What Dermapen to Buy?:

I would recommend the Dr. Pen M8. It's usually under 50 GBP/Euros. Don't buy the expensive Dr. pens because those are specially made for clinics. That aside, I don't see the appeal of them over dermapens. The face isnt a 2 dimensional objects, it has curves, protrusions, it goes deeper in some places. The derma pen allows you to be much more direct instead of just doing it in a general area. I feel like this would either partly or completely miss the deep parts of wrinkles, laugh lines, some acne scars and nasiolabial folds

Microneedling is when you rapidly stab your face with metal needles usually using an electric powdered device to look better.
Jokes aside, Microneedling is when you use either a Dermaroller [dermacoper], Microneedling pen or a Dermastamp to essentially make micro-punctured in your skin. This is for 2 main reasons.
1: It triggers your body's natural healing response, making your body produce and send Collagen and Elastin to the surface of your skin [making your skin look much more youthful and firmer (less wrinkly/saggy)].
2: It allows products that otherwise have a hard time penetrating the skin [such as Hyaluronic acid] to bypass the outerlayers of the skin
It also is great for increasing hair thickness in an area [good for norwooding men] but I'll talk about that later

The model in this picture is wearing makeup and her skin is clear, in reality it'd be red. Not an issue having microneedles rapidly stab your skin because you should use numbing cream before, which is easy peasy and cheap, trust.
For the redness, yes during and after you will have red skin, only for a day, MAX 2. This is easily fixable by just doing it on the weekends when you're at home and nobody will see you except family.
But is it actually all that good?

This study I am about to show you will shock you, will blow your fucking mind.
The study reported a 400% increase in collagen and elastin production after 6 months of treatment.
I thought it was BS too. Now obviously that 400% increase does not mean that a 60 year old who's collagen production is only at 20%, if he starts microneedling, his collagen will go back to 100% [look at graph in the next spoiler] and he will look like a 15 year old or something. Because this only applies to derma-collagen, the collagen in the rest of your body, blood, tendons, hair, nails, the skin that's not your face matters more to your skin's youthfulness than just the collagen that's directly on your skin.
Though what this does say for certain, is apart from maybe direct collagen injections or PRP, which are both procedures I doubt 5% of the people reading would ever get [because most people here are dreamers] Microneedling is the best way to increase collagen in your skin. More than RETINOL, more than ACCUTANE, more thsn COLLAGEN CREAM/SUPPLEMENTS.
The only thing that can shine a light to Microneedling when it comes to increasing collagen, except collagen injections and PRP which I write about here, is being younger in age

At 20: you start losing 1% collagen production per year

Microneedling stimulates all types of collagen from 1-7, Retinol does the same except for type 6, and Accutane just gets mogged by both since it only stimulates type 1, 3 and 5, and even then it's stimulation is very limited. It only stimulates type 1 to a moderate degree which doesn't matter since both Retinol and Microneedling strongly stimulate type 1 collagen so it get's mogged at the only thing it's good at when it comes to derma-collagen. So topical Retinol is the main contender against Microneedling when it comes to stimulating derma-collagen, therefore we will compare them both.

As you probably know, plastic surgery was invented to treat disfigured veterans after WWI. 95% of beauty products/methods are just repurposed medical products/methods. The medicine side of biology discovers a new molecule/surgery method/some protein or peptide or whatever, and the beauty industry looks at it and says "oo I can use that", which is where Microneedling comes from. Microneedling was first used [and still is] to treat wounds and scars, and skin conditions like Epidermolysis Bullosa. And through studies on those types of wounds and on Microneedling we know that Microneedle Induces deeper fibroblast activity and remodeling via wound healing to such a degree that I don't think a topical or ingestable product will ever be in the market that will stimulate collagen 1 more than Microneedling does.
For Collagen 1, Microneedling mogs to gandy, though you guys shouldn't underestimate Retinol's ability to stimulate it aswell.

Now I do actually believe Retinol does increase this type of collagen because they are alot of studies that say "Retinol yadda yadda yadda.. increases type 7 collagen and blah blah blah" but there is no study which purpose is to show it increases type 4 collagen, nor is there a study that CITES a study that does this that I can quote.
What this means: Retinol definitley DOES increase type 7 collagen in my opinion, just from my biology knowledge and the studies I've eyeballed though whether it's significant or consistent I have no idea.
For Microneedling it does, studies have shown Microneedling regenerates type 7 collagen in damaged skin during healing, so for that I'm going to say Microneedling mogs Retinol in the collagen 7 stimulation department.

How do I actually Microneedle?:
This section of the guide will be a polished reformatted version of this one. Reason I'm basically remastering it instead of just providing the link is because it's genuine eye cancer to look at and I don't want my readers to go blind.
Also there is quite a bit that the guide linked gets wrong like needing disinfrectant spray and the price of the pen and many more.
What you will need:
Face wipes - 20 wipes will be 2 euros so 0.10 euros per treatment
Microneedling pen - 55 euro
Numbing cream with Licodaine AND prilocaine [2.5% each] - Under a euro's worth per treatment [maybe 0.90 euros]
Microneedle cartridge - 0.4 euros per cartridge if you buy in bulk
[40 euro for 100 cartidges, though when you buy the dermapen you will recieve about 5 which should cover you for 5 months anyways]
Per treatment cost after initial buying of the dermapen - 1.4 euros only
Recommended additions:
Medical gloves [to stop bacteria from hands] - 0.10 euros per pair per treatment
Hyaluronic Acid [preferably from L'Oreal though that's my bias] - .50 per treatment
Per treatment cost if you don't cheap out and use recommended additions- 2.0 euros only
Keep in mind before you start, you should only microneedle every 28 days. Any more lessens results, any less will cause side effects.
Step 1:
DO NOT DO THE TREATMENT IF IN THE LAST 8 HOURS YOU'VE USED ANY SKINCARE OR FACIAL PRODUCT
Wipe your face with the face wipes. Water is not enough, you must use them. To balance the pH of your skin, to remove bacteria, to avoid skin irritation, everything.
Step 2 [Optional]:
Wash your hands, dry them, put on the medical gloves.
The gloves are optional, washing your hands isn't. WASH YOUR FUCKING HANDS TO AVOID SKIN IRRITATION
Step 3:
Apply the numbing cream to your face. If you think you're adding too little you probably are. MICRONEEDLING HURTS. Even during the first treatment when you've applied the numbing cream there will be some parts of the skin that will sting anyways, remember which parts so you can add more cream in those areas in the next treatments. Make sure every millimetre of your skin is lightly coated in the numbing cream.
WAIT 30 MINUTES FOR IT TO DRY AND ABSORB INTO YOUR SKIN BEFORE CONTINUING
Step 4:
If there is still any numbing cream left, remove it VERY GENTLY, as light as possible with face wipes, then again wait for your face to dry from the face wipes.
[Optional] Coat every millimetre of your skin with Hyaluronic acid solution

Put your dermapen deepness at 1.5mm, and about 2 speed. You may differ from this as time goes on if you prefer, for example now adays I do it at 4 speed for face and 2 speed for nose, eyebrows and undereyes.

Your skin will look Red/pinkish now. That's to be expected. It will stay like that for 1-2 days so preferably do it on Friday when weekend approaching. Trust me, it will be worth it.
Your treatment is now finished by this step.

PAIN
From experience, this is the most painful parts of the face to microneedle, and therefore the parts of the face you should put more numbing cream on, in order
This will vary from person to person
1. Nose
Hurts the most. When I started I didn't use to put numbing cream. The nose is literally impossible to microneedle without numbing cream, it's like you're torturing youself. Imagine plucking out your nose hair, now imaging plucking out 10 nose hairs in the same spot every 0.2 seconds, that's how it feels like. I unironically skipped microneedling it until I got numbing cream.
ALWAYS USE NUMBING CREAM. It doesn't hurt if you put enough numbing cream btw.
2. Above the lips
Directly above the lips hurts the Second most, not as much as nose but still stings if you don't put numbing cream, so put numbing cream.
3. Undereyes
You should put as much numbing cream as you put on your nose, because of it's thinness, the under eyes have a harder time absorbing cream as the skin above the lips.
4. Forehead
Without numbing cream it's very discomforting to microneedlie.
5. The brows and to the sides of them
The skin of your eyebrows, even though covered with hair, is actually extremely sensitive. You might notice this when going to the beach and the salty water starts making your eyebrows sting. They don't hurt as much as nose because they're covered with hair but yes you should put numbing cream even on your eyebrows too.
6. Sides of face
Doesn't really hurt at all, and numbing cream essentially gaurantees no pain, especially the jaw.
7. Chin
Same as sides of face except even less pain tbh.

How do I Microneedle my Scalp?:
Apply the knowledge in the previous section, the only difference is
You can do it once a week instead of every 28 days
You CANNOT APPLY PRODUCTS like you can with skin, what I mean by this is with skin you can apply products like Hyaluronic Acid or anything else that normally has a hard time bypassing the top layer of your skin. With scalp the product you probably have in mind is topical minoxidil, finasteride and dutasteride. The reason you do not want that is they already cause skin irritation issues, so you would really want to not apply them within 24 hours both before and after microneedling. Don't worry, the benefits of that microneedling session will outway the 48 hours of not applying whatever product.

What Dermapen to Buy?:

I would recommend the Dr. Pen M8. It's usually under 50 GBP/Euros. Don't buy the expensive Dr. pens because those are specially made for clinics. They literally put AI in the pens to learn from the clinician's hand movements and shit which obviously autistic looksmaxxer in his room won't need. And honestly even though I have the money I don't plan on buying it either.

That aside, I don't see the appeal of them over dermapens. The face isnt a 2 dimensional objects, it has curves, protrusions, it goes deeper in some places. The derma pen allows you to be much more direct instead of just doing it in a general area. I feel like this would either partly or completely miss the deep parts of wrinkles, laugh lines, some acne scars and nasiolabial folds

Microneedling is when you rapidly stab your face with metal needles usually using an electric powdered device to look better.
Jokes aside, Microneedling is when you use either a Dermaroller [dermacoper], Microneedling pen or a Dermastamp to essentially make micro-punctured in your skin. This is for 2 main reasons.
1: It triggers your body's natural healing response, making your body produce and send Collagen and Elastin to the surface of your skin [making your skin look much more youthful and firmer (less wrinkly/saggy)].
2: It allows products that otherwise have a hard time penetrating the skin [such as Hyaluronic acid] to bypass the outerlayers of the skin
It also is great for increasing hair thickness in an area [good for norwooding men] but I'll talk about that later

The model in this picture is wearing makeup and her skin is clear, in reality it'd be red. Not an issue having microneedles rapidly stab your skin because you should use numbing cream before, which is easy peasy and cheap, trust.
For the redness, yes during and after you will have red skin, only for a day, MAX 2. This is easily fixable by just doing it on the weekends when you're at home and nobody will see you except family.
But is it actually all that good?
Yes. Compared to Topical Retinol and Accutane, Microneedling mogs when it comes to increasing derma-collagen levels.

This study I am about to show you will shock you, will blow your fucking mind.
The study reported a 400% increase in collagen and elastin production after 6 months of treatment.
I thought it was BS too. Now obviously that 400% increase does not mean that a 60 year old who's collagen production is only at 20%, if he starts microneedling, his collagen will go back to 100% [look at graph in the next spoiler] and he will look like a 15 year old or something. Because this only applies to derma-collagen, the collagen in the rest of your body, blood, tendons, hair, nails, the skin that's not your face matters more to your skin's youthfulness than just the collagen that's directly on your skin.
Though what this does say for certain, is apart from maybe direct collagen injections or PRP, which are both procedures I doubt 5% of the people reading would ever get [because most people here are dreamers] Microneedling is the best way to increase collagen in your skin. More than RETINOL, more than ACCUTANE, more thsn COLLAGEN CREAM/SUPPLEMENTS.
The only thing that can shine a light to Microneedling when it comes to increasing collagen, except collagen injections and PRP which I write about here, is being younger in age

Collagen production = go down significantly as you age starting from birth and rapidly accelerating once you're 30
At 20: you start losing 1% collagen production per year
At 25: you start losing 1.5% collagen production per year

Microneedling stimulates all types of collagen from 1-7, Retinol does the same except for type 6, and Accutane just gets mogged by both since it only stimulates type 1, 3 and 5, and even then it's stimulation is very limited. It only stimulates type 1 to a moderate degree which doesn't matter since both Retinol and Microneedling strongly stimulate type 1 collagen so it get's mogged at the only thing it's good at when it comes to derma-collagen. So topical Retinol is the main contender against Microneedling when it comes to stimulating derma-collagen, therefore we will compare them both.

Collagen type 1: MIcroneedling stimulates it more than Retinol, though Retinol still strongly stimulates it

Microneedling mogs Retinol in Collagen type 1 stimulation, though Retinol still strongly stimulates type 1 in the skin, just not to the degree of Microneedling. As you probably know, plastic surgery was invented to treat disfigured veterans after WWI. 95% of beauty products/methods are just repurposed medical products/methods. The medicine side of biology discovers a new molecule/surgery method/some protein or peptide or whatever, and the beauty industry looks at it and says "oo I can use that", which is where Microneedling comes from. Microneedling was first used [and still is] to treat wounds and scars, and skin conditions like Epidermolysis Bullosa. And through studies on those types of wounds and on Microneedling we know that Microneedle Induces deeper fibroblast activity and remodeling via wound healing to such a degree that I don't think a topical or ingestable product will ever be in the market that will stimulate collagen 1 more than Microneedling does.
For Collagen 1, Microneedling mogs to gandy, though you guys shouldn't underestimate Retinol's ability to stimulate it aswell.

Now I do actually believe Retinol does increase this type of collagen because they are alot of studies that say "Retinol yadda yadda yadda.. increases type 7 collagen and blah blah blah" but there is no study which purpose is to show it increases type 4 collagen, nor is there a study that CITES a study that does this that I can quote.
What this means: Retinol definitley DOES increase type 7 collagen in my opinion, just from my biology knowledge and the studies I've eyeballed though whether it's significant or consistent I have no idea.
For Microneedling it does, studies have shown Microneedling regenerates type 7 collagen in damaged skin during healing, so for that I'm going to say Microneedling mogs Retinol in the collagen 7 stimulation department.

How do I actually Microneedle?:
This section of the guide will be a polished reformatted version of this one. Reason I'm basically remastering it instead of just providing the link is because it's genuine eye cancer to look at and I don't want my readers to go blind.
Also there is quite a bit that the guide linked gets wrong like needing disinfrectant spray and the price of the pen and many more.
What you will need:
Face wipes - 20 wipes will be 2 euros so 0.10 euros per treatment
Microneedling pen - 55 euro
Numbing cream with Licodaine AND prilocaine [2.5% each] - Under a euro's worth per treatment [maybe 0.90 euros]
Microneedle cartridge - 0.4 euros per cartridge if you buy in bulk
[40 euro for 100 cartidges, though when you buy the dermapen you will recieve about 5 which should cover you for 5 months anyways]
Per treatment cost after initial buying of the dermapen - 1.4 euros only
Recommended additions:
Medical gloves [to stop bacteria from hands] - 0.10 euros per pair per treatment
Hyaluronic Acid [preferably from L'Oreal though that's my bias] - .50 per treatment
Per treatment cost if you don't cheap out and use recommended additions- 2.0 euros only
Keep in mind before you start, you should only microneedle every 28 days. Any more lessens results, any less will cause side effects.
Step 1:
DO NOT DO THE TREATMENT IF IN THE LAST 8 HOURS YOU'VE USED ANY SKINCARE OR FACIAL PRODUCT
Wipe your face with the face wipes. Water is not enough, you must use them. To balance the pH of your skin, to remove bacteria, to avoid skin irritation, everything.
Step 2 [Optional]:
Wash your hands, dry them, put on the medical gloves.
The gloves are optional, washing your hands isn't. WASH YOUR FUCKING HANDS TO AVOID SKIN IRRITATION
Step 3:
Apply the numbing cream to your face. If you think you're adding too little you probably are. MICRONEEDLING HURTS. Even during the first treatment when you've applied the numbing cream there will be some parts of the skin that will sting anyways, remember which parts so you can add more cream in those areas in the next treatments. Make sure every millimetre of your skin is lightly coated in the numbing cream.
WAIT 30 MINUTES FOR IT TO DRY AND ABSORB INTO YOUR SKIN BEFORE CONTINUING
Step 4:
If there is still any numbing cream left, remove it VERY GENTLY, as light as possible with face wipes, then again wait for your face to dry from the face wipes.
[Optional] Coat every millimetre of your skin with Hyaluronic acid solution
Put a new cartridge into your dermapen, NEVER REUSE A CARTRIDGE, EVEN IF YOU CLEANSE IT. AFTER ONE USE THE NEEDLES WILL BE DULL. THEY'RE ONE USE ONLY.
Put your dermapen deepness at 1.5mm, and about 2 speed. You may differ from this as time goes on if you prefer, for example now adays I do it at 4 speed for face and 2 speed for nose, eyebrows and undereyes.
First the Forehead
Dark Purple lines: You will want to go down across from your entire Forehead like this
Hot Pink lines: Then across the entire forehead like this. Make sure every square centimetre has been microneedled

If your skin ever bleeds during, do not worry, just quickly wipe it with face wipes.
Step 5:
[Optional] Coat every millimetre of your skin with Hyaluronic acid solution again
Your skin will look Red/pinkish now. That's to be expected. It will stay like that for 1-2 days so preferably do it on Friday when weekend approaching. Trust me, it will be worth it.
Your treatment is now finished by this step.
DO NOT WASH YOUR FACE WITH WATER. DO NOT SHOWER. DO NOT SLEEP WITH ANY SIDE OF YOUR FACE TOUCHING THE BED. DO NOT GO OUTSIDE WHEN IT'S WINDY. DO NOT USE ANY SKINCARE OR PRODUCT ON YOUR FACE
After 24 hours and only after 24 hours may you put LUKEWARM water on your face and shower
[Try not to get any shampoo that touches your hair to touch your face, look up to have the shampoo fall down the back of your body. Shower with low water pressure]
After 48 hours you may start putting products back on your face.
MAKE SURE NOT TO TAKE ANY BLOOD THINNERS LIKE IBUPROFEN, OMEGA-3 OR TOPICAL VITAMIN SOLUTIONS 48 HOURS BEFORE AND AFTER MICRONEEDLING. THIS WILL FUCK U UP.
PAIN
From experience, this is the most painful parts of the face to microneedle, and therefore the parts of the face you should put more numbing cream on, in order
This will vary from person to person
1. Nose
Hurts the most. When I started I didn't use to put numbing cream. The nose is literally impossible to microneedle without numbing cream, it's like you're torturing youself. Imagine plucking out your nose hair, now imaging plucking out 10 nose hairs in the same spot every 0.2 seconds, that's how it feels like. I unironically skipped microneedling it until I got numbing cream.
ALWAYS USE NUMBING CREAM. It doesn't hurt if you put enough numbing cream btw.
2. Above the lips
Directly above the lips hurts the Second most, not as much as nose but still stings if you don't put numbing cream, so put numbing cream.
3. Undereyes
You should put as much numbing cream as you put on your nose, because of it's thinness, the under eyes have a harder time absorbing cream as the skin above the lips.
4. Forehead
Without numbing cream it's very discomforting to microneedlie.
5. The brows and to the sides of them
The skin of your eyebrows, even though covered with hair, is actually extremely sensitive. You might notice this when going to the beach and the salty water starts making your eyebrows sting. They don't hurt as much as nose because they're covered with hair but yes you should put numbing cream even on your eyebrows too.
6. Sides of face
Doesn't really hurt at all, and numbing cream essentially gaurantees no pain, especially the jaw.
7. Chin
Same as sides of face except even less pain tbh.

How do I Microneedle my Scalp?:
Apply the knowledge in the previous section, the only difference is
You can do it once a week instead of every 28 days
You CANNOT APPLY PRODUCTS like you can with skin, what I mean by this is with skin you can apply products like Hyaluronic Acid or anything else that normally has a hard time bypassing the top layer of your skin. With scalp the product you probably have in mind is topical minoxidil, finasteride and dutasteride. The reason you do not want that is they already cause skin irritation issues, so you would really want to not apply them within 24 hours both before and after microneedling. Don't worry, the benefits of that microneedling session will outway the 48 hours of not applying whatever product.

What Dermapen to Buy?:

I would recommend the Dr. Pen M8. It's usually under 50 GBP/Euros. Don't buy the expensive Dr. pens because those are specially made for clinics. They literally put AI in the pens to learn from the clinician's hand movements and shit which obviously autistic looksmaxxer in his room won't need. And honestly even though I have the money I don't plan on buying it either.

That aside, I don't see the appeal of them over dermapens. The face isnt a 2 dimensional objects, it has curves, protrusions, it goes deeper in some places. The derma pen allows you to be much more direct instead of just doing it in a general area. I feel like this would either partly or completely miss the deep parts of wrinkles, laugh lines, some acne scars and nasiolabial folds

Microneedling is when you rapidly stab your face with metal needles usually using an electric powdered device to look better.
Jokes aside, Microneedling is when you use either a Dermaroller [dermacoper], Microneedling pen or a Dermastamp to essentially make micro-punctured in your skin. This is for 2 main reasons.
1: It triggers your body's natural healing response, making your body produce and send Collagen and Elastin to the surface of your skin [making your skin look much more youthful and firmer (less wrinkly/saggy)].
2: It allows products that otherwise have a hard time penetrating the skin [such as Hyaluronic acid] to bypass the outerlayers of the skin
It also is great for increasing hair thickness in an area [good for norwooding men] but I'll talk about that later

The model in this picture is wearing makeup and her skin is clear, in reality it'd be red. Not an issue having microneedles rapidly stab your skin because you should use numbing cream before, which is easy peasy and cheap, trust.
For the redness, yes during and after you will have red skin, only for a day, MAX 2. This is easily fixable by just doing it on the weekends when you're at home and nobody will see you except family.
But is it actually all that good?
Yes. Compared to Topical Retinol and Accutane, Microneedling mogs when it comes to increasing derma-collagen levels.

This study I am about to show you will shock you, will blow your fucking mind.
The study reported a 400% increase in collagen and elastin production after 6 months of treatment.
I thought it was BS too. Now obviously that 400% increase does not mean that a 60 year old who's collagen production is only at 20%, if he starts microneedling, his collagen will go back to 100% [look at graph in the next spoiler] and he will look like a 15 year old or something. Because this only applies to derma-collagen, the collagen in the rest of your body, blood, tendons, hair, nails, the skin that's not your face matters more to your skin's youthfulness than just the collagen that's directly on your skin.
Though what this does say for certain, is apart from maybe direct collagen injections or PRP, which are both procedures I doubt 5% of the people reading would ever get [because most people here are dreamers] Microneedling is the best way to increase collagen in your skin. More than RETINOL, more than ACCUTANE, more thsn COLLAGEN CREAM/SUPPLEMENTS.
The only thing that can shine a light to Microneedling when it comes to increasing collagen, except collagen injections and PRP which I write about here, is being younger in age

At 20: you start losing 1% collagen production per year
At 25: you start losing 1.5% collagen production per year

Microneedling stimulates all types of collagen from 1-7, Retinol does the same except for type 6, and Accutane just gets mogged by both since it only stimulates type 1, 3 and 5, and even then it's stimulation is very limited. It only stimulates type 1 to a moderate degree which doesn't matter since both Retinol and Microneedling strongly stimulate type 1 collagen so it get's mogged at the only thing it's good at when it comes to derma-collagen. So topical Retinol is the main contender against Microneedling when it comes to stimulating derma-collagen, therefore we will compare them both.

As you probably know, plastic surgery was invented to treat disfigured veterans after WWI. 95% of beauty products/methods are just repurposed medical products/methods. The medicine side of biology discovers a new molecule/surgery method/some protein or peptide or whatever, and the beauty industry looks at it and says "oo I can use that", which is where Microneedling comes from. Microneedling was first used [and still is] to treat wounds and scars, and skin conditions like Epidermolysis Bullosa. And through studies on those types of wounds and on Microneedling we know that Microneedle Induces deeper fibroblast activity and remodeling via wound healing to such a degree that I don't think a topical or ingestable product will ever be in the market that will stimulate collagen 1 more than Microneedling does.
For Collagen 1, Microneedling mogs to gandy, though you guys shouldn't underestimate Retinol's ability to stimulate it aswell.

Microneedling stimulates collagen type 3 almost as much as it does type 1, poor Retinol's ability to stimulate collagen 3 doesn't come as very close to it's ability to stimulate collagen type 3. THOUGH THIS IS NOT TO SAY THAT IT DOESN'T STIMULATE COLLAGEN 3 TO A MODERATE DEGREE. Microneedling just has more of a consistent increase of collagen type 3 through dermal healing cascade, which has been proven through studies.

We don't really care about these 2 just know Microneedling is MUCH MUCH better than Retinol at increasing these 2 types of collagen.
COLLAGEN TYPE 7:
Now I do actually believe Retinol does increase this type of collagen because they are alot of studies that say "Retinol yadda yadda yadda.. increases type 7 collagen and blah blah blah" but there is no study which purpose is to show it increases type 4 collagen, nor is there a study that CITES a study that does this that I can quote.
What this means: Retinol definitley DOES increase type 7 collagen in my opinion, just from my biology knowledge and the studies I've eyeballed though whether it's significant or consistent I have no idea.
For Microneedling it does, studies have shown Microneedling regenerates type 7 collagen in damaged skin during healing, so for that I'm going to say Microneedling mogs Retinol in the collagen 7 stimulation department.

How do I actually Microneedle?:
This section of the guide will be a polished reformatted version of this one. Reason I'm basically remastering it instead of just providing the link is because it's genuine eye cancer to look at and I don't want my readers to go blind.
Also there is quite a bit that the guide linked gets wrong like needing disinfrectant spray and the price of the pen and many more.
What you will need:
Face wipes - 20 wipes will be 2 euros so 0.10 euros per treatment
Microneedling pen - 55 euro
Numbing cream with Licodaine AND prilocaine [2.5% each] - Under a euro's worth per treatment [maybe 0.90 euros]
Microneedle cartridge - 0.4 euros per cartridge if you buy in bulk
[40 euro for 100 cartidges, though when you buy the dermapen you will recieve about 5 which should cover you for 5 months anyways]
Per treatment cost after initial buying of the dermapen - 1.4 euros only
Recommended additions:
Medical gloves [to stop bacteria from hands] - 0.10 euros per pair per treatment
Hyaluronic Acid [preferably from L'Oreal though that's my bias] - .50 per treatment
Per treatment cost if you don't cheap out and use recommended additions- 2.0 euros only
Keep in mind before you start, you should only microneedle every 28 days. Any more lessens results, any less will cause side effects.
Step 1:
DO NOT DO THE TREATMENT IF IN THE LAST 8 HOURS YOU'VE USED ANY SKINCARE OR FACIAL PRODUCT
Wipe your face with the face wipes. Water is not enough, you must use them. To balance the pH of your skin, to remove bacteria, to avoid skin irritation, everything.
Step 2 [Optional]:
Wash your hands, dry them, put on the medical gloves.
The gloves are optional, washing your hands isn't. WASH YOUR FUCKING HANDS TO AVOID SKIN IRRITATION
Step 3:
Apply the numbing cream to your face. If you think you're adding too little you probably are. MICRONEEDLING HURTS. Even during the first treatment when you've applied the numbing cream there will be some parts of the skin that will sting anyways, remember which parts so you can add more cream in those areas in the next treatments. Make sure every millimetre of your skin is lightly coated in the numbing cream.
WAIT 30 MINUTES FOR IT TO DRY AND ABSORB INTO YOUR SKIN BEFORE CONTINUING
Step 4:
If there is still any numbing cream left, remove it VERY GENTLY, as light as possible with face wipes, then again wait for your face to dry from the face wipes.
[Optional] Coat every millimetre of your skin with Hyaluronic acid solution
Put a new cartridge into your dermapen, NEVER REUSE A CARTRIDGE, EVEN IF YOU CLEANSE IT. AFTER ONE USE THE NEEDLES WILL BE DULL. THEY'RE ONE USE ONLY.
Put your dermapen deepness at 1.5mm, and about 2 speed. You may differ from this as time goes on if you prefer, for example now adays I do it at 4 speed for face and 2 speed for nose, eyebrows and undereyes.
First the Forehead
Dark Purple lines: You will want to go down across from your entire Forehead like this
Hot Pink lines: Then across the entire forehead like this. Make sure every square centimetre has been microneedled

If your skin ever bleeds during, do not worry, just quickly wipe it with face wipes.

[Optional] Coat every millimetre of your skin with Hyaluronic acid solution again
Your skin will look Red/pinkish now. That's to be expected. It will stay like that for 1-2 days so preferably do it on Friday when weekend approaching. Trust me, it will be worth it.
Your treatment is now finished by this step.
DO NOT WASH YOUR FACE WITH WATER. DO NOT SHOWER. DO NOT SLEEP WITH ANY SIDE OF YOUR FACE TOUCHING THE BED. DO NOT GO OUTSIDE WHEN IT'S WINDY. DO NOT USE ANY SKINCARE OR PRODUCT ON YOUR FACE
After 24 hours and only after 24 hours may you put LUKEWARM water on your face and shower
[Try not to get any shampoo that touches your hair to touch your face, look up to have the shampoo fall down the back of your body. Shower with low water pressure]
After 48 hours you may start putting products back on your face.
MAKE SURE NOT TO TAKE ANY BLOOD THINNERS LIKE IBUPROFEN, OMEGA-3 OR TOPICAL VITAMIN SOLUTIONS 48 HOURS BEFORE AND AFTER MICRONEEDLING. THIS WILL FUCK U UP.
PAIN
From experience, this is the most painful parts of the face to microneedle, and therefore the parts of the face you should put more numbing cream on, in order
This will vary from person to person
1. Nose
Hurts the most. When I started I didn't use to put numbing cream. The nose is literally impossible to microneedle without numbing cream, it's like you're torturing youself. Imagine plucking out your nose hair, now imaging plucking out 10 nose hairs in the same spot every 0.2 seconds, that's how it feels like. I unironically skipped microneedling it until I got numbing cream.
ALWAYS USE NUMBING CREAM. It doesn't hurt if you put enough numbing cream btw.
2. Above the lips
Directly above the lips hurts the Second most, not as much as nose but still stings if you don't put numbing cream, so put numbing cream.
3. Undereyes
You should put as much numbing cream as you put on your nose, because of it's thinness, the under eyes have a harder time absorbing cream as the skin above the lips.
4. Forehead
Without numbing cream it's very discomforting to microneedlie.
5. The brows and to the sides of them
The skin of your eyebrows, even though covered with hair, is actually extremely sensitive. You might notice this when going to the beach and the salty water starts making your eyebrows sting. They don't hurt as much as nose because they're covered with hair but yes you should put numbing cream even on your eyebrows too.
6. Sides of face
Doesn't really hurt at all, and numbing cream essentially gaurantees no pain, especially the jaw.
7. Chin
Same as sides of face except even less pain tbh.

How do I Microneedle my Scalp?:
Apply the knowledge in the previous section, the only difference is
You can do it once a week instead of every 28 days
You CANNOT APPLY PRODUCTS like you can with skin, what I mean by this is with skin you can apply products like Hyaluronic Acid or anything else that normally has a hard time bypassing the top layer of your skin. With scalp the product you probably have in mind is topical minoxidil, finasteride and dutasteride. The reason you do not want that is they already cause skin irritation issues, so you would really want to not apply them within 24 hours both before and after microneedling. Don't worry, the benefits of that microneedling session will outway the 48 hours of not applying whatever product.
Tl;Dr:

What Dermapen to Buy?:
I would only ever buy Dr. Pen dermapens. All the other pens on the market are literally just unbranded versions of this pen [Clones] or branded clones but branded by some random brand you've never heard of probably called something like EverLife or some shit.
I would recommend the Dr. Pen M8. It's usually under 50 GBP/Euros. Don't buy the expensive Dr. pens because those are specially made for clinics. They literally put AI in the pens to learn from the clinician's hand movements and shit which obviously autistic looksmaxxer in his room won't need. And honestly even though I have the money I don't plan on buying it either.
IF YOU'RE GOING TO BUY A DR.PEN MICRONEEDLING PEN, MAKE SURE NOT TO BUY IT FROM 3RD PARTY AND THAT THE SELLER IS DR. PEN THEMSELVES WHETHER YOU'RE ON ALIEXPRESS, EBAY OR ONBUY.

Look at this diagramn which shows the difference between Microneedling. Because the dermaroller ROLLS when the needles in the dermaroller moves with the wheel, it literally widens the hole it made. I do not need to tell you how much this increases the chance of scarring and infection

That aside, I don't see the appeal of them over dermapens. The face isnt a 2 dimensional objects, it has curves, protrusions, it goes deeper in some places. The derma pen allows you to be much more direct instead of just doing it in a general area. I feel like this would either partly or completely miss the deep parts of wrinkles, laugh lines, some acne scars and nasiolabial folds

i shaved after 2 days when i did my sessions didnt wait for 4 days but had no issue today is being my 4th session now also opinion on being on accutane while microneedling? Gpt says it could cause issues but it didnt cause any issues for me yet

Microneedling is when you rapidly stab your face with metal needles usually using an electric powdered device to look better.
Jokes aside, Microneedling is when you use either a Dermaroller [dermacoper], Microneedling pen or a Dermastamp to essentially make micro-punctured in your skin. This is for 2 main reasons.
1: It triggers your body's natural healing response, making your body produce and send Collagen and Elastin to the surface of your skin [making your skin look much more youthful and firmer (less wrinkly/saggy)].
2: It allows products that otherwise have a hard time penetrating the skin [such as Hyaluronic acid] to bypass the outerlayers of the skin
It also is great for increasing hair thickness in an area [good for norwooding men] but I'll talk about that later

The model in this picture is wearing makeup and her skin is clear, in reality it'd be red. Not an issue having microneedles rapidly stab your skin because you should use numbing cream before, which is easy peasy and cheap, trust.
For the redness, yes during and after you will have red skin, only for a day, MAX 2. This is easily fixable by just doing it on the weekends when you're at home and nobody will see you except family.
But is it actually all that good?
Yes. Compared to Topical Retinol and Accutane, Microneedling mogs when it comes to increasing derma-collagen levels.

The study reported a 400% increase in collagen and elastin production after 6 months of treatment.
I thought it was BS too. Now obviously that 400% increase does not mean that a 60 year old who's collagen production is only at 20%, if he starts microneedling, his collagen will go back to 100% [look at graph in the next spoiler] and he will look like a 15 year old or something. Because this only applies to derma-collagen, the collagen in the rest of your body, blood, tendons, hair, nails, the skin that's not your face matters more to your skin's youthfulness than just the collagen that's directly on your skin.
Though what this does say for certain, is apart from maybe direct collagen injections or PRP, which are both procedures I doubt 5% of the people reading would ever get [because most people here are dreamers] Microneedling is the best way to increase collagen in your skin. More than RETINOL, more than ACCUTANE, more thsn COLLAGEN CREAM/SUPPLEMENTS.

Microneedling stimulates all types of collagen from 1-7, Retinol does the same except for type 6, and Accutane just gets mogged by both since it only stimulates type 1, 3 and 5, and even then it's stimulation is very limited. It only stimulates type 1 to a moderate degree which doesn't matter since both Retinol and Microneedling strongly stimulate type 1 collagen so it get's mogged at the only thing it's good at when it comes to derma-collagen. So topical Retinol is the main contender against Microneedling when it comes to stimulating derma-collagen, therefore we will compare them both.

As you probably know, plastic surgery was invented to treat disfigured veterans after WWI. 95% of beauty products/methods are just repurposed medical products/methods. The medicine side of biology discovers a new molecule/surgery method/some protein or peptide or whatever, and the beauty industry looks at it and says "oo I can use that", which is where Microneedling comes from. Microneedling was first used [and still is] to treat wounds and scars, and skin conditions like Epidermolysis Bullosa. And through studies on those types of wounds and on Microneedling we know that Microneedle Induces deeper fibroblast activity and remodeling via wound healing to such a degree that I don't think a topical or ingestable product will ever be in the market that will stimulate collagen 1 more than Microneedling does.

Microneedling stimulates collagen type 3 almost as much as it does type 1, poor Retinol's ability to stimulate collagen 3 doesn't come as very close to it's ability to stimulate collagen type 3. THOUGH THIS IS NOT TO SAY THAT IT DOESN'T STIMULATE COLLAGEN 3 TO A MODERATE DEGREE. Microneedling just has more of a consistent increase of collagen type 3 through dermal healing cascade, which has been proven through studies.

Now I do actually believe Retinol does increase this type of collagen because they are alot of studies that say "Retinol yadda yadda yadda.. increases type 7 collagen and blah blah blah" but there is no study which purpose is to show it increases type 4 collagen, nor is there a study that CITES a study that does this that I can quote.
What this means: Retinol definitley DOES increase type 7 collagen in my opinion, just from my biology knowledge and the studies I've eyeballed though whether it's significant or consistent I have no idea.
For Microneedling it does, studies have shown Microneedling regenerates type 7 collagen in damaged skin during healing, so for that I'm going to say Microneedling mogs Retinol in the collagen 7 stimulation department.

How do I actually Microneedle?:
This section of the guide will be a polished reformatted version of this one. Reason I'm basically remastering it instead of just providing the link is because it's genuine eye cancer to look at and I don't want my readers to go blind.
Also there is quite a bit that the guide linked gets wrong like needing disinfrectant spray and the price of the pen and many more.
What you will need:
Face wipes - 20 wipes will be 2 euros so 0.10 euros per treatment
Microneedling pen - 55 euro
Numbing cream with Licodaine AND prilocaine [2.5% each] - Under a euro's worth per treatment [maybe 0.90 euros]
Microneedle cartridge - 0.4 euros per cartridge if you buy in bulk
[40 euro for 100 cartidges, though when you buy the dermapen you will recieve about 5 which should cover you for 5 months anyways]
Per treatment cost after initial buying of the dermapen - 1.4 euros only
Recommended additions:
Medical gloves [to stop bacteria from hands] - 0.10 euros per pair per treatment
Hyaluronic Acid [preferably from L'Oreal though that's my bias] - .50 per treatment
Per treatment cost if you don't cheap out and use recommended additions- 2.0 euros only
Keep in mind before you start, you should only microneedle every 28 days. Any more lessens results, any less will cause side effects.
Step 1:
DO NOT DO THE TREATMENT IF IN THE LAST 8 HOURS YOU'VE USED ANY SKINCARE OR FACIAL PRODUCT
Wipe your face with the face wipes. Water is not enough, you must use them. To balance the pH of your skin, to remove bacteria, to avoid skin irritation, everything.
Step 2 [Optional]:
Wash your hands, dry them, put on the medical gloves.
The gloves are optional, washing your hands isn't. WASH YOUR FUCKING HANDS TO AVOID SKIN IRRITATION
Step 3:
Apply the numbing cream to your face. If you think you're adding too little you probably are. MICRONEEDLING HURTS. Even during the first treatment when you've applied the numbing cream there will be some parts of the skin that will sting anyways, remember which parts so you can add more cream in those areas in the next treatments. Make sure every millimetre of your skin is lightly coated in the numbing cream.
WAIT 30 MINUTES FOR IT TO DRY AND ABSORB INTO YOUR SKIN BEFORE CONTINUING
Step 4:
If there is still any numbing cream left, remove it VERY GENTLY, as light as possible with face wipes, then again wait for your face to dry from the face wipes.
[Optional] Coat every millimetre of your skin with Hyaluronic acid solution
Put a new cartridge into your dermapen, NEVER REUSE A CARTRIDGE, EVEN IF YOU CLEANSE IT. AFTER ONE USE THE NEEDLES WILL BE DULL. THEY'RE ONE USE ONLY.
Put your dermapen deepness at 1.5mm, and about 2 speed. You may differ from this as time goes on if you prefer, for example now adays I do it at 4 speed for face and 2 speed for nose, eyebrows and undereyes.
First the Forehead
Dark Purple lines: You will want to go down across from your entire Forehead like this
Hot Pink lines: Then across the entire forehead like this. Make sure every square centimetre has been microneedled

If your skin ever bleeds during, do not worry, just quickly wipe it with face wipes.
Step 5:
[Optional] Coat every millimetre of your skin with Hyaluronic acid solution again
Your skin will look Red/pinkish now. That's to be expected. It will stay like that for 1-2 days so preferably do it on Friday when weekend approaching. Trust me, it will be worth it.
Your treatment is now finished by this step.
DO NOT WASH YOUR FACE WITH WATER. DO NOT SHOWER. DO NOT SLEEP WITH ANY SIDE OF YOUR FACE TOUCHING THE BED. DO NOT GO OUTSIDE WHEN IT'S WINDY. DO NOT USE ANY SKINCARE OR PRODUCT ON YOUR FACE
After 24 hours and only after 24 hours may you put LUKEWARM water on your face and shower
[Try not to get any shampoo that touches your hair to touch your face, look up to have the shampoo fall down the back of your body. Shower with low water pressure]
After 48 hours you may start putting products back on your face.
MAKE SURE NOT TO TAKE ANY BLOOD THINNERS LIKE IBUPROFEN, OMEGA-3 OR TOPICAL VITAMIN SOLUTIONS 48 HOURS BEFORE AND AFTER MICRONEEDLING. THIS WILL FUCK U UP.
PAIN
From experience, this is the most painful parts of the face to microneedle, and therefore the parts of the face you should put more numbing cream on, in order
This will vary from person to person
1. Nose
Hurts the most. When I started I didn't use to put numbing cream. The nose is literally impossible to microneedle without numbing cream, it's like you're torturing youself. Imagine plucking out your nose hair, now imaging plucking out 10 nose hairs in the same spot every 0.2 seconds, that's how it feels like. I unironically skipped microneedling it until I got numbing cream.
ALWAYS USE NUMBING CREAM. It doesn't hurt if you put enough numbing cream btw.
2. Above the lips
Directly above the lips hurts the Second most, not as much as nose but still stings if you don't put numbing cream, so put numbing cream.
3. Undereyes
You should put as much numbing cream as you put on your nose, because of it's thinness, the under eyes have a harder time absorbing cream as the skin above the lips.
4. Forehead
Without numbing cream it's very discomforting to microneedlie.
5. The brows and to the sides of them
The skin of your eyebrows, even though covered with hair, is actually extremely sensitive. You might notice this when going to the beach and the salty water starts making your eyebrows sting. They don't hurt as much as nose because they're covered with hair but yes you should put numbing cream even on your eyebrows too.
6. Sides of face
Doesn't really hurt at all, and numbing cream essentially gaurantees no pain, especially the jaw.
7. Chin
Same as sides of face except even less pain tbh.

How do I Microneedle my Scalp?:
Apply the knowledge in the previous section, the only difference is
You can do it once a week instead of every 28 days
You CANNOT APPLY PRODUCTS like you can with skin, what I mean by this is with skin you can apply products like Hyaluronic Acid or anything else that normally has a hard time bypassing the top layer of your skin. With scalp the product you probably have in mind is topical minoxidil, finasteride and dutasteride. The reason you do not want that is they already cause skin irritation issues, so you would really want to not apply them within 24 hours both before and after microneedling. Don't worry, the benefits of that microneedling session will outway the 48 hours of not applying whatever product.

What Dermapen to Buy?:
I would only ever buy Dr. Pen dermapens. All the other pens on the market are literally just unbranded versions of this pen [Clones] or branded clones but branded by some random brand you've never heard of probably called something like EverLife or some shit.
I would recommend the Dr. Pen M8. It's usually under 50 GBP/Euros. Don't buy the expensive Dr. pens because those are specially made for clinics. They literally put AI in the pens to learn from the clinician's hand movements and shit which obviously autistic looksmaxxer in his room won't need. And honestly even though I have the money I don't plan on buying it either.
IF YOU'RE GOING TO BUY A DR.PEN MICRONEEDLING PEN, MAKE SURE NOT TO BUY IT FROM 3RD PARTY AND THAT THE SELLER IS DR. PEN THEMSELVES WHETHER YOU'RE ON ALIEXPRESS, EBAY OR ONBUY.

That aside, I don't see the appeal of them over dermapens. The face isnt a 2 dimensional objects, it has curves, protrusions, it goes deeper in some places. The derma pen allows you to be much more direct instead of just doing it in a general area. I feel like this would either partly or completely miss the deep parts of wrinkles, laugh lines, some acne scars and nasiolabial folds

Microneedling is when you rapidly stab your face with metal needles usually using an electric powdered device to look better.
Jokes aside, Microneedling is when you use either a Dermaroller [dermacoper], Microneedling pen or a Dermastamp to essentially make micro-punctured in your skin. This is for 2 main reasons.
1: It triggers your body's natural healing response, making your body produce and send Collagen and Elastin to the surface of your skin [making your skin look much more youthful and firmer (less wrinkly/saggy)].
2: It allows products that otherwise have a hard time penetrating the skin [such as Hyaluronic acid] to bypass the outerlayers of the skin
It also is great for increasing hair thickness in an area [good for norwooding men] but I'll talk about that later

The model in this picture is wearing makeup and her skin is clear, in reality it'd be red. Not an issue having microneedles rapidly stab your skin because you should use numbing cream before, which is easy peasy and cheap, trust.
For the redness, yes during and after you will have red skin, only for a day, MAX 2. This is easily fixable by just doing it on the weekends when you're at home and nobody will see you except family.
But is it actually all that good?
Yes. Compared to Topical Retinol and Accutane, Microneedling mogs when it comes to increasing derma-collagen levels.

This study I am about to show you will shock you, will blow your fucking mind.
The study reported a 400% increase in collagen and elastin production after 6 months of treatment.
I thought it was BS too. Now obviously that 400% increase does not mean that a 60 year old who's collagen production is only at 20%, if he starts microneedling, his collagen will go back to 100% [look at graph in the next spoiler] and he will look like a 15 year old or something. Because this only applies to derma-collagen, the collagen in the rest of your body, blood, tendons, hair, nails, the skin that's not your face matters more to your skin's youthfulness than just the collagen that's directly on your skin.
Though what this does say for certain, is apart from maybe direct collagen injections or PRP, which are both procedures I doubt 5% of the people reading would ever get [because most people here are dreamers] Microneedling is the best way to increase collagen in your skin. More than RETINOL, more than ACCUTANE, more thsn COLLAGEN CREAM/SUPPLEMENTS.
The only thing that can shine a light to Microneedling when it comes to increasing collagen, except collagen injections and PRP which I write about here, is being younger in age

At 20: you start losing 1% collagen production per year

Microneedling stimulates all types of collagen from 1-7, Retinol does the same except for type 6, and Accutane just gets mogged by both since it only stimulates type 1, 3 and 5, and even then it's stimulation is very limited. It only stimulates type 1 to a moderate degree which doesn't matter since both Retinol and Microneedling strongly stimulate type 1 collagen so it get's mogged at the only thing it's good at when it comes to derma-collagen. So topical Retinol is the main contender against Microneedling when it comes to stimulating derma-collagen, therefore we will compare them both.

Microneedling mogs Retinol in Collagen type 1 stimulation, though Retinol still strongly stimulates type 1 in the skin, just not to the degree of Microneedling. As you probably know, plastic surgery was invented to treat disfigured veterans after WWI. 95% of beauty products/methods are just repurposed medical products/methods. The medicine side of biology discovers a new molecule/surgery method/some protein or peptide or whatever, and the beauty industry looks at it and says "oo I can use that", which is where Microneedling comes from. Microneedling was first used [and still is] to treat wounds and scars, and skin conditions like Epidermolysis Bullosa. And through studies on those types of wounds and on Microneedling we know that Microneedle Induces deeper fibroblast activity and remodeling via wound healing to such a degree that I don't think a topical or ingestable product will ever be in the market that will stimulate collagen 1 more than Microneedling does.
For Collagen 1, Microneedling mogs to gandy, though you guys shouldn't underestimate Retinol's ability to stimulate it aswell.

Microneedling again, mogs Retinol here. Microneedling stimulates collagen type 3 almost as much as it does type 1, poor Retinol's ability to stimulate collagen 3 doesn't come as very close to it's ability to stimulate collagen type 3. THOUGH THIS IS NOT TO SAY THAT IT DOESN'T STIMULATE COLLAGEN 3 TO A MODERATE DEGREE. Microneedling just has more of a consistent increase of collagen type 3 through dermal healing cascade, which has been proven through studies.

Retinol mogs Microneedling in Collagen type 4 stimulation. Microneedling only mildly stimulates it though I don't believe that's an issue because it doesn't directly contribute to skin aesthetics and is nowhere near as important as type 1 or 7.
COLLAGEN TYPE 5 & 6:Microneedling: Could not find a specific one for Microneedling. Usually I would assume that means it doesn't boost it at all, though when 1 type of collagen in the skin is stimulates, type 4 will always be more stimulated aswell.

We don't really care about these 2 just know Microneedling is MUCH MUCH better than Retinol at increasing these 2 types of collagen.
COLLAGEN TYPE 7:
Now I do actually believe Retinol does increase this type of collagen because they are alot of studies that say "Retinol yadda yadda yadda.. increases type 7 collagen and blah blah blah" but there is no study which purpose is to show it increases type 4 collagen, nor is there a study that CITES a study that does this that I can quote.
What this means: Retinol definitley DOES increase type 7 collagen in my opinion, just from my biology knowledge and the studies I've eyeballed though whether it's significant or consistent I have no idea.
For Microneedling it does, studies have shown Microneedling regenerates type 7 collagen in damaged skin during healing, so for that I'm going to say Microneedling mogs Retinol in the collagen 7 stimulation department.

How do I actually Microneedle?:
This section of the guide will be a polished reformatted version of this one. Reason I'm basically remastering it instead of just providing the link is because it's genuine eye cancer to look at and I don't want my readers to go blind.
Also there is quite a bit that the guide linked gets wrong like needing disinfrectant spray and the price of the pen and many more.
What you will need:
Face wipes - 20 wipes will be 2 euros so 0.10 euros per treatment
Microneedling pen - 55 euro
Numbing cream with Licodaine AND prilocaine [2.5% each] - Under a euro's worth per treatment [maybe 0.90 euros]
Microneedle cartridge - 0.4 euros per cartridge if you buy in bulk
[40 euro for 100 cartidges, though when you buy the dermapen you will recieve about 5 which should cover you for 5 months anyways]
Per treatment cost after initial buying of the dermapen - 1.4 euros only
Recommended additions:
Medical gloves [to stop bacteria from hands] - 0.10 euros per pair per treatment
Hyaluronic Acid [preferably from L'Oreal though that's my bias] - .50 per treatment
Per treatment cost if you don't cheap out and use recommended additions- 2.0 euros only
Keep in mind before you start, you should only microneedle every 28 days. Any more lessens results, any less will cause side effects.
Step 1:
DO NOT DO THE TREATMENT IF IN THE LAST 8 HOURS YOU'VE USED ANY SKINCARE OR FACIAL PRODUCT
Wipe your face with the face wipes. Water is not enough, you must use them. To balance the pH of your skin, to remove bacteria, to avoid skin irritation, everything.
Step 2 [Optional]:
Wash your hands, dry them, put on the medical gloves.
The gloves are optional, washing your hands isn't. WASH YOUR FUCKING HANDS TO AVOID SKIN IRRITATION
Step 3:
Apply the numbing cream to your face. If you think you're adding too little you probably are. MICRONEEDLING HURTS. Even during the first treatment when you've applied the numbing cream there will be some parts of the skin that will sting anyways, remember which parts so you can add more cream in those areas in the next treatments. Make sure every millimetre of your skin is lightly coated in the numbing cream.
WAIT 30 MINUTES FOR IT TO DRY AND ABSORB INTO YOUR SKIN BEFORE CONTINUING
Step 4:
If there is still any numbing cream left, remove it VERY GENTLY, as light as possible with face wipes, then again wait for your face to dry from the face wipes.
[Optional] Coat every millimetre of your skin with Hyaluronic acid solution
Put a new cartridge into your dermapen, NEVER REUSE A CARTRIDGE, EVEN IF YOU CLEANSE IT. AFTER ONE USE THE NEEDLES WILL BE DULL. THEY'RE ONE USE ONLY.
Put your dermapen deepness at 1.5mm, and about 2 speed. You may differ from this as time goes on if you prefer, for example now adays I do it at 4 speed for face and 2 speed for nose, eyebrows and undereyes.
First the Forehead
Dark Purple lines: You will want to go down across from your entire Forehead like this
Hot Pink lines: Then across the entire forehead like this. Make sure every square centimetre has been microneedled

BOTTOM OF FACE [not including lips, don't microneedle them at all]

4TH AREA: LIGHT BLUE
RIGHT SIDE OF FACE [except zygos should be 1.0mm]
1.5MM DEEPNESS, 2 SPEED
5TH AREA: RED
EYEBROWS, UNDER EYES AND NOSE
0.5MM DEEPNESS, 1 SPEED.
If your skin ever bleeds during, do not worry, just quickly wipe it with face wipes.
Step 5:
[Optional] Coat every millimetre of your skin with Hyaluronic acid solution again
Your skin will look Red/pinkish now. That's to be expected. It will stay like that for 1-2 days so preferably do it on Friday when weekend approaching. Trust me, it will be worth it.
Your treatment is now finished by this step.
DO NOT WASH YOUR FACE WITH WATER. DO NOT SHOWER. DO NOT SLEEP WITH ANY SIDE OF YOUR FACE TOUCHING THE BED. DO NOT GO OUTSIDE WHEN IT'S WINDY. DO NOT USE ANY SKINCARE OR PRODUCT ON YOUR FACE
After 24 hours and only after 24 hours may you put LUKEWARM water on your face and shower
[Try not to get any shampoo that touches your hair to touch your face, look up to have the shampoo fall down the back of your body. Shower with low water pressure]
After 48 hours you may start putting products back on your face.
MAKE SURE NOT TO TAKE ANY BLOOD THINNERS LIKE IBUPROFEN, OMEGA-3 OR TOPICAL VITAMIN SOLUTIONS 48 HOURS BEFORE AND AFTER MICRONEEDLING. THIS WILL FUCK U UP.
PAIN
From experience, this is the most painful parts of the face to microneedle, and therefore the parts of the face you should put more numbing cream on, in order
This will vary from person to person
1. Nose
Hurts the most. When I started I didn't use to put numbing cream. The nose is literally impossible to microneedle without numbing cream, it's like you're torturing youself. Imagine plucking out your nose hair, now imaging plucking out 10 nose hairs in the same spot every 0.2 seconds, that's how it feels like. I unironically skipped microneedling it until I got numbing cream.
ALWAYS USE NUMBING CREAM. It doesn't hurt if you put enough numbing cream btw.
2. Above the lips
Directly above the lips hurts the Second most, not as much as nose but still stings if you don't put numbing cream, so put numbing cream.
3. Undereyes
You should put as much numbing cream as you put on your nose, because of it's thinness, the under eyes have a harder time absorbing cream as the skin above the lips.
4. Forehead
Without numbing cream it's very discomforting to microneedlie.
5. The brows and to the sides of them
The skin of your eyebrows, even though covered with hair, is actually extremely sensitive. You might notice this when going to the beach and the salty water starts making your eyebrows sting. They don't hurt as much as nose because they're covered with hair but yes you should put numbing cream even on your eyebrows too.
6. Sides of face
Doesn't really hurt at all, and numbing cream essentially gaurantees no pain, especially the jaw.
7. Chin
Same as sides of face except even less pain tbh.

How do I Microneedle my Scalp?:
Apply the knowledge in the previous section, the only difference is
You can do it once a week instead of every 28 days
You CANNOT APPLY PRODUCTS like you can with skin, what I mean by this is with skin you can apply products like Hyaluronic Acid or anything else that normally has a hard time bypassing the top layer of your skin. With scalp the product you probably have in mind is topical minoxidil, finasteride and dutasteride. The reason you do not want that is they already cause skin irritation issues, so you would really want to not apply them within 24 hours both before and after microneedling. Don't worry, the benefits of that microneedling session will outway the 48 hours of not applying whatever product.
Tl;Dr:
________________________________________________________________________________Scalp same as face but you can do it every 7 days. Don't apply any hair products on scalp within 28 hours of microneedling both before and after
What Dermapen to Buy?:
I would only ever buy Dr. Pen dermapens. All the other pens on the market are literally just unbranded versions of this pen [Clones] or branded clones but branded by some random brand you've never heard of probably called something like EverLife or some shit.
I would recommend the Dr. Pen M8. It's usually under 50 GBP/Euros. Don't buy the expensive Dr. pens because those are specially made for clinics. They literally put AI in the pens to learn from the clinician's hand movements and shit which obviously autistic looksmaxxer in his room won't need. And honestly even though I have the money I don't plan on buying it either.
IF YOU'RE GOING TO BUY A DR.PEN MICRONEEDLING PEN, MAKE SURE NOT TO BUY IT FROM 3RD PARTY AND THAT THE SELLER IS DR. PEN THEMSELVES WHETHER YOU'RE ON ALIEXPRESS, EBAY OR ONBUY.

It's the thing Clinics use to try and get people to microneedle at their clinic instead of at home but it's really not a risk at all if you're not braindead, use face wipes on your face, wash your hands and don't reuse cartridges.
Scarring
Will not happen with improper use. I really only see this happening if you Microneedle too regularly which as I said before, do it every 28 days, no less no more [though missing by a few days is nothing to be scared of], if you maybe microneedle the same spot over and over too much in a session. And if you use way too much depth for
Skin pigmentation changed [that isn't hyperpigmentation going away]
Same as scarring
Nerve damage
This is LITERALLY impossible if you follow my step by step. The most shallow nerve in the face is 2.9mm deep, and I told you guys to go 1.5mm deep so again, if you follow my step by step, this is literally impossible.

Infection - I am not even kidding when I say dermarolling will have 1,000 times the chance to cause skin infection as microneedling. I personally NEVER reuse a cartridge and you should NEVER reuse them too. Now imagine reusing the same cartridge every month no matter how dull it becomes. Now imagine never even disinfecting it. That is how the average dermaroller user uses their dermaroller.

Look at this diagramn which shows the difference between Microneedling. Because the dermaroller ROLLS when the needles in the dermaroller moves with the wheel, it literally widens the hole it made. I do not need to tell you how much this increases the chance of scarring and infection

That aside, I don't see the appeal of them over dermapens. The face isnt a 2 dimensional objects, it has curves, protrusions, it goes deeper in some places. The derma pen allows you to be much more direct instead of just doing it in a general area. I feel like this would either partly or completely miss the deep parts of wrinkles, laugh lines, some acne scars and nasiolabial folds
