QUICK REMINDER:
Colouring and contrasts are one of the most important thing to ascend, bad colouring can ruin a face. Look at how a proper tan and colouring ascended Amnesia
BUT HOW DO I GET A GOOD TAN ?!?! you may ask
introducing a well known peptide, mt2:
What's mt2 ?
Basically Melanotan II is a synthetic analog of α-melanocyte-stimulating hormone that, that via interaction with the melanocortin 1 receptor, induces skin hyperpigmentation. MT2 is a non-selective melanocortin agonist (MC1R, MC3R, MC4R, MC5R).
Why would you use it ? (benefits)
Y'all probably know why and it is to tan mostly,
The tanning link is straightforward: UV exposure normally triggers α-MSH release, which binds MC1R, activating PKA, which phosphorylates CREB, which upregulates MITF, which drives tyrosinase expression -> melanin production (kept that for my high iq rotters)
MT2 bypasses the UV trigger entirely and hits MC1R directly, producing the same downstream melanin cascade without the DNA damage that normally initiates it. So you get the tan without the UV hit that caused it theoretically front-loading your protection before sun exposure.
Not only that but MC1R activation also helps with NER enhancement through PKA/ATR/XPA pathway -> that could mean DNA level protection even beyond just pigmentation,
POSSIBLE RESULTS 4-5 months on mt2
Risks:
Nausea and flushing are very common especially early on (minimal)
MC4R agonism is responsible for its well-documented pro-erectile effects, and that can cause spontaneous erections, it's kinda harmless but don't be surprised if it happens to you, I think this is actually quite funny
Stimulates all melanocytes including atypical nevi, saw some guys saying they got moles on mt2. This is because mt2 without UV exposure may cause melanin to accumulate unevenly particularly in existing moles and freckles instead of giving it to the whole skin. MT2 works best combined with UV exposure shortly after injection, not as a standalone "sunless tan." Think of it less as a self-tanner and more like tanning faster, the UV still does the distributing work, MT2 just massively amplifies your bodies' response to it.
Saw a lot of incels' saying "OH I'M GONNA GET SKIN CANCER", MC1R signaling intersects with MAPK and PI3K/AKT pathways, those are involved in cell production so some people thought that more cells=more chance of skin cancer AND this is why the atypical nevi concern matters it's not about healthy cells multiplying, it's more about giving a growth signal to cells that may already have somatic mutations which could indeed give a cancer,
mt2 was originally made to prevent skin cancer via photoprotection and NER enhancement the only real case where you should be worried are if your family or you have a past with atypical moles. So keep in mind this is quite rare and unlikely for most people BUT be aware that it's possible.
How to use (MPMD protocol the best one by far):
DON'T START AT 500 MCG
If you start at 500 mcg shots when your body has never taken Melanotan II before, you are much more likely to experience negative side effects that I've mentionned. That's nonsense.
Start by seeing response to a very low dose first (50-75 mcg), and taper up from there.
You can take weeks before reaching a dose of 250 mcg pre-tanning. An ideal approach in my opinion would be to start very low, and then every 3 sessions (Melanotan II administration coupled with post pin tanning) bump the dosage by 25 mcg and increase the tanning duration by 1 minute (assuming tanning is being done in a tanning bed/if it's outside go for roughly 30 minutes of 12pm sun).
* DO NOT DO A LOADING PERIOD FOR MELANOTAN. IT IS UNNECESSARY, ONLY USE ON DAYS OF TANNING.
To reconstituate I would mix a 10 mg vial with 2 ml of BAC water, if you prefer just use a calculator:

It's a subQ injection, there's a lot of guides about that so just go and check one
first guide kinda nervous was too lazy to format but if I get decent feedbacks I might try to do a good one
