Men who have children at old age = Higher risk of mental illnesses for the kids?

We all know women should have kids at younger age. But there seems to be risks for men too, as men who have children at old age (45+) have kids who have a higher risk of mental illnesses like autism or ADHD.

But I'm wondering if there is really a causation here. First, I think many mental illnesses are not really medical conditions. It's just that many kids who are shy and socially awkward are diagnosed with autism today. But what really causes the shyness and lack of social skills? Is it really a genetic thing, did the father ruined his kid by waiting so long for having him?

I think there is another possible explanation: Fathers who are old (45-50+) don't have the same connection to their sons as younger fathers. This means that the kids won't have a strong father figure, and this can make them shy and socially awkward. If this is true, it would be a social thing, not a genetical, and it could be avoided if the fathers try hard to have a strong connection with their sons.

What do you think? Did you have an older father? Have you been socially awkward? In my case, my father was not very old (late 30s), but we still didn't have any connection at all.

Old parents = bad looks = mental illness

Wdym? Kids who had old parents look worse than kids who had young parents?

Why would this be the case?

I feel like its a mix of all of those + overall declining genetic quality in the course of 300 hundreds years because of modern
medicine and people with shitty genes reproducing instead of dying as children, and then their children reproducing etc...

as you age you acquire more toxins and pollution from the air, as well as just natural decline of your cells, brain and general bodily functions, also the toxins that hinders you and changes your brain chemestry, as well as weakened immunity to fight them back so your sperm quality would decrease and the child of the older parent would inherit more flaws because the body can no longer fight back it's decline, meaning the child would inherit the harmful toxins and the fathers no weakened mental and physical mental state.

As I said, I think it's not clear if it's a genetical or a social thing. If older parents don't have a strong connection to their kids (on average), that could make them socially awkward, and this is often diagnosed as autism. Many people who are diagnosed as autists are probably only shy and awkward.

But if it's actually a genetical thing, this would be an argument against having kids at old age. Maybe the rise of socially awkward kids has something to do with parents getting older?

In this thread you can see many users of this forum had older parents:

Idk, sounds like this is a new theory on this forum. I've never heard of kids of younger parents being more beautiful than kids of older parents.

I doubt that, there is a very clear difference between someone with autism and someone without, its way more complicated
then just being socially awkward, there other things which correlate with autism

store sperm, which resists 40+ years , in your 20s, have kids at 60 kid willbe just as if you made him at 20 :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:
