Dosn't have to be perfectly upside down, all that matters is that gravity isn't working full force against your tongue, so even just leaning the upper body a bit foreward while sitting could improve mewing progress a lot

Also it's hard to maintain propper posture so better to do the leaning foreward thing instead of the bed one
