at what age do you think mewing can actually noticeably change your face

It's still not bad to mew, regardless of the benefits. It'll keep your palate at a normal width.

far more legit for change. But not ideal PERMANENT change (at least not in my case)

It works at all ages, if you mew until you're 70 and then start mouthbreathing you will be recessed by 80.
