Should I still take minoxidil to grow my eyebrows if I’m not balding? I read somewhere that if you take it while you’re not balding it could get your hair attached to the minoxidil or some shit

what about me I've definitely got slight recession but cant take fin or dut and 2 dogs so cant use topical (was planning to use 2.5 mg daily)

Oral minox works amazing and there's no problems assuming you're not one of the unlucky few that get heart issues from it. It also grows your eyelashes so there's no real downside to taking it.

Yes, you need to take minox for a long time but I think it's a myth that your hair relies on it. I've heard that after taking it for like two years then your new velus hairs will turn terminal and will stay there forever. A lot of people use minox to grow a beard too.

I didn't experience bloating on it surprisingly. The people on it that have experienced bloating say it goes away after taking it for a while.
you are absolutely right g (@pajjeetslayer remember the pufferfish)

jokes aside I thought the same but when coming off minox I dropped a ton of water weight

it also rapes collagen

I also didn't experience the collagen loss but I also use tret so maybe the tret, moisturizing, and cleansing is maing my skin look good so I just didn't notice the collagen loss if it happened.

I’ve read it helps preserve and promote elastin. How long have you been using it?

I've been taking 2.5mg oral minox for around 9 months everyday. I didn't notice any issues with it and I was taking it alongside 1mg finasteride for hair loss.

I’m absolutely certain you will debloat massively if you stop. Give it a few weeks and see. No harm done, you ain’t losing your gains if you stop for a few weeks and go back on if there really isn’t a change. I thought I didn’t bloat for a year, then noticed that I was lower bodyfat, yet less facially defined than a year ago even though I was higher bodyfat. I stopped and it’s a night an day difference.

It bloats since the hyperpolarization induces an increase in sodium retention through increased aldosterone biosynthesis in order to reduce intracellular potassium.

Not one person i’ve recommended to stop and has actually tried hasn’t debloated to date. There are multiple threads on it if you search. The first one on google after searching “minox bloat looksmax” lol. And this was topical JFL

Wow I didn't know it works like that. Do you think increasing potassium a lot would help with bloating? I just looked in the mirror and I have sunken cheeks. I don't really bloat in my face that easily but yeah I don't think I noticed any kind of bloating (and I look at myself too much & I'm very critical normally)

nothing works to fix the bloat besides stuff like furosemide.

detailled it in this thread, but actually eplerenone doesn't even work to fix the bloat

we call this "minoxidil phenomenon" jfl

u'd be even leaner off minox for sure.

So then what can be a good replacement for minox? I do quite like the benefits for eyelash growth and beard growth. I know there are a few peptides and such that MAY help with regrowing hair. TBH I think the benefits like regrowing my hair, giving me mogger eyelashes, and giving me a beard might override the concerns I have with bloating, but you've got me curious abut possible replacements now.

No. I tried many things to reduce minox induced bloating. Stuff you can use long term like Eple, amiloride etc. Shit does literally fuck all, which is a shame because it was indeed extremely mogger for all hair growth. Lashes, brows were amazing. Although fuck facial hair JFL. I’ll get that shit lasered off.

I also still maintained hollows while I was using it, but discontinuing it takes angularity to another level and slims down you face massively in my experience.

That’s the thing, you are always looking at yourself, multiple times a day, it’s hard to notice, but when you stop it becomes very apparent.

giving me a beard might override the concerns
With long enough usage your facial hair can become terminal and there will be no need to continue minox to maintain the beard growth.

I was tagged. Wouldn’t be in this thread if I wasn’t.

Most my posts are about roids gh other peptides dnp etc anyway. Basically all compounds.

dutasteride and RU58841 is all u need for hair. doing the same.

u could try latisse for lashes if u don't use it too often then it shouldn't be that harsh on ur eye area (eg hyperpigmentation etc)
prove oral minox rapes collagen
minox inhibits lysyl hydroxylase

don't forget the hair loss prevention and roids g @chadisbeingmade

Yes I know about RU and dut but duterastide doesn't regrow your hair and neither does finasteride so RU58841 would be essential in that case? I know about RU but I'm not too familiar with the effects. It works on your eyelashes, beard, and hair? I probably know a few sites for RU but I've never tried to order it.

Only reason to take oral minxodil for eyebrow growth, is if you dont notice your eyebrow hair becoming longer + more eyebrow density. This is because minxodil functions by prolonging anagen phase (growth phase) of your hair follicles. If your eyebrows dont get longer, then the anagen phase hasnt been prolonged.
The reason why anagen phase isn't being prolonged might be because minoxidil hasnt been converted to its active form, minoxidil sulfate. For minoxidil to be converted into minoxidil sulfate it needs to be converted by the enzyme minoxidil sulfotransferase, which is found around the outer sheath of hair follicles, but the highest concentration of minoxidil sulfotransferase is found in the liver, so by taking it orally you're ensuring that minoxidil is converted to its active form.
However if you experience hair growth and hair length benefits from minoxidil, then there is no reason to take it orally, since minoxidil is in its active form, and you avoid bloating and other side effects from oral minoxidil that @chadisbeingmade described.
