Video games are longer and more complicated than ever. They force you to grind, and they're full of faggot shit. Just straight slop, and people praise it. I miss when companies made fun and simple games that were actually relaxing and fun to play.

At least some indie devs are still making good shit.

Nah, so many damn skill trees and combos and convoluted storylines. Of course we all have different tastes and some people think that's a good thing. A good example of a game I've played and enjoyed in recent memory is Space Marine 2. It was short, fun, and didn't make me memorize a bunch of bullshit just to deal with basic enemies. I don't want to have to solve a puzzle between killing shit and blowing things up, or slow to a crawl mid mission to talk to some faggot about mundane shit. Space Marine 2 didn't make me do that.
