Modern Religion was created to colonize lands
Why? Because when Napoleon conquered lands, he could not simply force French culture onto the people he conquered. They would resist because they had the right to keep their own culture. But if you spread a religion that has your culture and way of life built into it, the conquered people gradually adopt your culture instead. Over time, that can replacing their original culture.
The same argument is often made about parts of West Africa, where Islam spread and many people adopted Islamic beliefs and practices. Some also adopted aspects of Arab culture, such as changes in clothing, customs, and views toward traditional practices like braids or tattoos. This process is still happening today.
