Mom scared of tret

For whatever reason my mom is scared for me to take tret. My dermatologist last time said he'll put me on either accutane or tret, my mom immediately said no to accutane and tret she's concerned about it along with having to put sunscreen everyday. I go to the dermatologist tomorrow, I will try to explain tret is harmless, it's only a retinoid nothing too serious, same with sunscreen. Anything else I can tell her so she says yes

If her point is the sunscreen application, just mention that you can only apply it at night

The tret is only at night but I still need sunscreen in the day, even my derma told me. If your saying that I can tell her the sunscreen isn't needed because I put tret at night, then still use the sunscreen, I can try that

shes right about suncream tbf. just use a mieral suncream and your fine. just emphasise how much getting good skin means to you she will probably understand. if not just act really sad and that might work. good luck

im on tret and dont even use sunscreen but im in the uk so its not sunny

I looked into it and what I saw is that the risk were a couple ingredients listed as carcinogens, but their unintended ingredients in such small amounts that it won't do anything

Honestly u could argue w her infront of the doctor. Say smth along the lines of this


Its a vitamin A derivative thats not toxic to the inside of the body, it helps with wrinkles, fine lines, and acne. You just need to moisturize your face and wear sunscreen which people already do. And in the middle east you can literally buy tret at any pharmacy with no prescription.

Btw its shit compared to accutane so use it as a backup incase accutane fails
