If you're in your teens or early adulthood and autistic, you'd still be somewhat tolerated, because you are seen as a person who is still developing and might improve with time.
But imagine a 30+ year old balding graycel autismo. A grown up member of society who is expected to be productive, assertive, mature, responsible etc. But instead he is reserved, awkward, babyish, unemployed...
People would vomit at the mere thought of such an individual.
Brutal.

You get the degee, but no one hires you after they see you behave/talk awkwardly in the interview.

Even if you pass the interview, you're bound to fail as a team member. You'll either get fired at some point, or you'd resign yourself as others would be bullying you unless you're a total chad.

Maybe in extremely solitary jobs like accounting or IT.
Good luck keeping your job or getting promoted as a salesman or consultant.

Autists would avoid these positions like the plague so moot point

That’s me!

Following Amnesia’s path is unironically my best and targeted outcome.

This is unironically the fate of 99% of this forum's members -- assuming they don't actually rope earlier.
