Most optimal way of jutting?

while jutting, is it more optimal to have your teeth slightly touching or nearly touching? i've seen various posts claiming one way or the other, can somebody please give me a definitive answer and explain why their opinion is correct. thank you <3

im on a waiting list for braces, i dont expect permanent results from jutting. the temporary results make my lower third look so much better, so i want to make sure im jutting properly.

keep them touching i love jutting just waiting for dentist to recommend me braces
