Everyone says mouth breathing = death sentence for your jawline. Gives you that long horse face, CW rotation, recessed chin, etc. And yeah, usually that's spot on. Nasal breathing + tongue posture = CCW gains, forward growth = chad jaw.
But what if your face is ALREADY too CCW? Like super short midface, deep bite, squished features almost no lower face height?

Quick recap for the greys
  • CCW rotation = short compact face, strong forward jaw, hunter eyes aesthetic.
  • CW rotation = longer face, more vertical growth, downward mandible – the "mouth breather look" most people hate.
Here's the plot twist tho If you're stuck with excessive CCW (think tiny lower third, gummy smile , or just everything feels too compressed/short), a little CW could actually balance you out. Make your face longer/more proportional without needing surgery.
Mouth breathing usually pushes CW by dropping your tongue and letting everything grow down instead of forward.
Some people with super short faces literally need slight downward growth to not look weirdly compact

So in theory controlled mouth breathing will promote CW rotation.
So yeah — if your face is excessively CCW, controlled mouth breathing might actually help you ascend by inducing just enough CW rotation to fix the proportions and make everything look better balanced.

its lowkey spot on (but the actual mouthbreathing strategy is complete nonsense)

clear mandibular CW rotation development pattern, yet the increased lower third anterior height is looking great here

What strategy would you suggest?

I mouth breathed for 16 years of my life, and for the past 4 ive been nose breathing and trying to mew but palate is too small to really be consistent.

I used to have a giga wide face as a young kid and it looked like shit, i now have a longer face but i retained zygo prominence so it kind of worked in my favour - i got a longer face without getting that obvious mouth-breather look.

OP is somewhat correct in writing this :lul:

Its how you are born. Your skull is not gonna reshape from mouth/nose breathing. People confuse cause and effect. You mouth breath and dont mew BECAUSE your skull is underdeveloped, not the other way around. Mew copers are the biggest retards in this community.
