Everyone says mouth breathing = death sentence for your jawline. Gives you that long horse face, CW rotation, recessed chin, etc. And yeah, usually that's spot on. Nasal breathing + tongue posture = CCW gains, forward growth = chad jaw.
But what if your face is ALREADY too CCW? Like super short midface, deep bite, squished features almost no lower face height?
Quick recap for the greys
Mouth breathing usually pushes CW by dropping your tongue and letting everything grow down instead of forward.
Some people with super short faces literally need slight downward growth to not look weirdly compact
So in theory controlled mouth breathing will promote CW rotation.
So yeah — if your face is excessively CCW, controlled mouth breathing might actually help you ascend by inducing just enough CW rotation to fix the proportions and make everything look better balanced.

- CCW rotation = short compact face, strong forward jaw, hunter eyes aesthetic.
- CW rotation = longer face, more vertical growth, downward mandible – the "mouth breather look" most people hate.
