Don't listen to that retard, you need near constant force applied to stretch the tissue, it's like those african tribes that put weird discs in their mouth.
eg.

So you basically need an appliance that you will wear for a large amount of time during the day, or during the night but that would be very uncomfortable.
I suggest downloading the 3d models that were uploaded to this site of appliances (obviously after having measured your mouth) if you have a 3D printer or make a DIY one with glue sticks which is what I am going to try, I will give updates but I haven't ordered them yet.
