As someone who has moved schools 3 times and successfully settled in all 3 times I’m here to give a quick NTmaxxing guide on how to become friends with everyone at your school and be known as someone who people respect, not some dork.
Pre-Applying/pre- moving
Before you even move schools try your absolute best to convince your parents to move you to a school where someone you know is already there giving you a significant boost as knowing someone there can help you connect with other people and they can introduce you to the rule,teachers etc.
If this unfortunately does not work it will make the job 2x harder due to having to make new friends.
If it does work then the guide is over for you
For people who couldn’t move to a school where a friend or someone they know is there try your absolute best to larp confidence and pretend like you know what your doing even if you don’t have a single fucking clue. People will target you if they see you walking around looking left to right not knowing what you are doing.
From past experiences jestermaxx to gain some social rank up however you can’t do this immediately as at the beginning you are a total stranger. Best way to go about this is to be friends with other nerds/nice innocent kids and work your way up(what I did) after around 2-3 months of hanging around with innocent nice kids you want to jestermaxx a couple times in class to gain the attention of popular kids. If this goes well and you don’t make any shitty jokes you should be noticed/ approached by popular kids in the future tying to talk to you.
Another way you can go about is being know as the calm guy. The guy no one has a problem with and is chill to talk to. The guy that hangs around in the library all lunch or just walks around the school alone. This is an extreme last resort if nothing works out for you. It will be extremely boring, however you won’t get in any trouble with anyone and your peace will be there. I did this for a while in my first school and it’s honestly peaceful.
Final tip is in extreme worst case scenario that you are getting bullied first day 0 friends and absolutely hate school just accept that even moving schools is something you can’t control and it is purely luck(just like genetics) unfortunately no matter how much research you do on the school or how much you ask friends that go to that school at then end of the day your experience will be completely different. In one school I was the bullied nerd in my second I was the jester and now in my third one I’m just the chill guy who no one has a problem with(best case scenario for low cortisol maxxing and niche friend maxxing)
