Idk who to believe to be honest Mike Mew and Ting have said in the past that the mandible follows the maxilla during lateral or forward expansion but at the same time patients like Ronald Eid are claiming it does not

If you have a small expansion like 5mm you can also get an expander for lower arch (only teeth) and with braces you will have a correct bite.

If its bigger than that its either MSDO or SFOT and braces after that.
