Muslims say it's a scientific miracle because it's describes the big bang and expansion of the universe.

This is how Quran.com translates/understands it:

"We built the universe with ˹great˺ might, and We are certainly expanding ˹it˺."

That translation was made AFTER the big bang theory . That is NOT how the muslims understood the verse. Literally not a single translation or interpretation has ever understood it like that before the expansion of the universe was discovered.

Here's some other translations:

"Sahih International:
And the heaven We constructed with strength, and indeed, We are [its] expander."

"Pickthall:
We have built the heaven with might, and We it is Who make the vast extent (thereof)."

"Yusuf Ali:
With power and skill did We construct the Firmament: for it is We Who create the vastness of space."

"With power did We construct the heaven. Verily, We are Able to extend the vastness of space thereof."

"Abdul Haleem:
We built the heavens with Our power and made them vast."
