Started my looksmaxxing journey back in 2020 when I was 13. I’m African and Mexican and at that age I realized I was growing fast as hell and became obsessed with maximizing everything — height, face, physique, all of it. I was short for my age and wanted to hit a growth spurt faster, so I started home workouts, force-feeding myself food, and playing sports nonstop thinking I could brute force puberty jfl.

Around that same time I discovered mewing. Funny enough my dentist was actually the one who explained tongue posture to me while talking about braces, so I got deep into that rabbit hole early. My teeth were completely cooked at the time and I ended up having braces for almost 3 years while also getting palate expansion done. I’ve basically been hard mewing for years straight at this point.

Back then I thought hairstyle was gonna save me. I tried EVERYTHING. Waves, curls, dreads, braids, different lineups, different parts — every month I looked different trying to find a halo. Nothing really fixed the underlying issues though and eventually I got depressed as hell thinking I was genetically doomed.

I’m ND and had terrible anxiety during that period too, so I isolated myself hard. I’d spend entire days on Fortnite and stopped training completely. I went from being active all the time to basically rotting in my room 24/7 while puberty kept cooking my face in random directions. Looking back at old pics is brutal jfl.

But after a while I started noticing actual structural changes from the braces and palate expansion. My side profile improved, my jaw started looking less recessed, my smile got wider, and my face overall looked more balanced. That’s when I realized looksmaxxing wasn’t just memes — there were real changes happening over time.

I locked back in after that.

Started getting lean again, grew out dreads, fixed my skincare, and got more serious about gymceling. I bulked all the way to around 180 lbs at one point but overshot and got kinda fat, so then I had to cut back down. The cut changed my face way more than I expected. Jawline started appearing, cheekbones became more visible, and people started treating me differently almost immediately.

That’s also when I got deeper into dermatology and pharmaceuticals. I became obsessed with optimizing recovery, hormones, growth, skin, all of it. I ended up running 2 cycles of MK-677 (ibutamoren). People meme it as fake growth hormone but honestly I responded pretty well to it. Over a little more than a year I grew around 2 inches which I’m happy with considering most people around me barely grew at all after that age. It also helped me put on lean tissue and I genuinely think it improved some facial development too, especially combined with training, sleepmaxxing, and eating properly.

The biggest thing I learned is that looksmaxxing isn’t one magical fix. It’s stacking improvements for years straight. Better posture. Better bodyfat %. Better skin. Better hair. Better teeth. Better confidence. Better style. Better sleep. Every little thing compounds.

People who knew me back then barely recognize me now. The same people who ignored me suddenly act way friendlier, girls who never noticed me before suddenly stare, and random people assume I’m confident even when I’m still anxious internally. It’s crazy how differently the world treats you once your appearance improves.

I’m still nowhere near my final form though. Still improving physique, still trying to optimize my face naturally before considering anything drastic, still experimenting with style. The journey honestly never ends.

But compared to the kid rotting on Fortnite thinking it was over at 14?

Massive difference.
