My dentist and I came to an agreement

I said to him that I need a wider palate ( widening of 3-7 mm) and he agreed, I have braces now so he’s going to adjust the braces so they will widen my palate while also straightening my teeth, so it’s a win-win.

So I’m going to have a total of 1cm palate widening since the braces already widen it by 4 mm (crazy yeah). It’s like a palate expander atp

Isn’t it a case of widening your dental arch rather than your palate? Braces don’t widen on a skeletal level. Not trying to be pedantic here. Maybe this will be sufficient for you. I hope so.
