At 14 years old, I built my own personal business operating on Discord, bringing in about $2–4K monthly. It's one of my greatest achievements, and it was pretty easy at the time. I'm not really sure whether the opportunity has died down or not since I stopped last year due to personal reasons, but this was my exact business:

1. Understand the Business Model

You buy digital subscriptions (e.g. Nitro, Steam games, Spotify, Netflix) from cheaper regions (like Turkey, India, Argentina, Russia, etc.) and resell globally at a price lower than official retail, but still above your cost, so you profit.

You can also find suppliers who get you stacked accounts already filled with games (these were my main money makers — I’d sell them for crazy profits and markups).

Examples:
  • Discord Nitro in Turkey: ~$1.50/month → sell for $3–$4
  • Steam games region-locked to Argentina
  • Netflix, YouTube Premium, Spotify Family plans from India

2. Find Reliable Suppliers

You need low-cost and trustworthy suppliers. You can either:

Option A: Manual Sourcing

  • Set up your own VPN & payment methods (like Revolut, crypto) to buy from regional stores
  • Create burner accounts for subscriptions
  • Use Turkish/Argentinian bank cards via online exchanges

Option B: Buy From Wholesalers

Join seller communities like:
  • Telegram
  • Reddit
  • Discord suppliers

I wouldn’t recommend buying from wholesalers unless the price you’re paying is worth the hassle of not manually sourcing. But remember — higher costs = less profit.

3. Build Your Discord Server

This is your storefront. I personally never built my own server — I bought one from a random wholesaler off Discord and it already had all the channels and bots for automation.

4. Set Up Payments

Accept Payments Securely:

  • Crypto (USDT, BTC, etc.)
  • Wise, PayPal Friends & Family

Avoid:

  • Direct debit cards
  • Friends who say “I’ll pay later” or want stuff on credit

5. Create a Product List

Stick to hot, low-risk, profitable items. My most profitable ones at the time were Discord Nitro and Spotify Premium.

6. Customer Flow & Trust Building

  • Post purchase proofs (screenshots or short videos)
  • Have a clean, simple logo/banner
  • Add invite rewards, giveaways
  • Use vouch channels to build trust
  • Set up ticket support to handle issues
I can’t stress enough how important vouches are — if you don’t have them, offer freebies or get your friends to leave some. People will think you’re a scammer if you don’t have any.

7. Marketing & Growth

Organic Growth:

  • Partner with micro influencers on TikTok or IG
  • Post in well-sized Discord servers
  • Use Discord server lists like Disboard

Paid Options:

  • Pay Discord servers for promotions — this helped a lot

8. Manage Risk & Bans

  • Keep a reserve fund for refunds & revoked items
  • Use aliases and a VPN when buying from restricted regions

This was my exact plan. Getting my first few customers was the most difficult part imo, since no one trusted me and I kept getting banned on different servers for promoting my business. I recommend paying bigger servers and people with decent followings to promote it for you.

I’m not really sure if this business model is too saturated now, but this is what worked for me. I used ChatGPT to help me organize and fix mistakes — otherwise, this post is fully written by me.Also i cannot stress how important it is to have trustworthy workers or business partners they reduce the load of certain operations and can greatly increase efficiency i highly recommended hiring.

Thanks for reading.
