skinnyfat with zero muscle mass to presentable looking. I started out for looksmaxxing but I feel soooo much better now and am starting to love lifting + the feeling of gaining strength. I still need to lose a bit more fat before summer tho. 5'11.5, 172 lbs

how long have you been lifting? And lifts?

I started doing pushups at night in November but didn't start lifting until around Christmas. I just do stuff with the dumbells but am up to doing 100 lb dumbell bench press's (50 lbs in each hand, 6 sets of 12).

Why 6 sets of 12? That's a bit excessive. For the first few months a lot of your initial gains are purely neurological, you basically learn to recruit more motor end plates which is why you get rapid strength gains. You're going to enter a phase where eventually you have to start eating and shit in order to progress. Are you cutting atm?

ohhh yeah I've been slacking on actually looking into what to ideally do in the gym, had no idea you were supposed to do less sets. I need to youtube an actual push pull leg day thing and start doing that lol. I am cutting, I've been losing weight since January 2021 besides for a small break where I got lazy with my diet recently in December, January, and early February.

This is good program to run bro, good for newbies. Incorporate some cardio in if you can, health benefits of cardio mog and it's easier to cut

yeah I've been doing cardio recently (10k steps a day on an incline). without it, I would have to reallllyyy be careful with my portion sizes/foods I eat.
