I had an otoplasty, and unfortunately the result is far from what I expected. My right ear still sticks out noticeably more than my left, leaving me with an obvious asymmetry. I had a follow-up appointment today, and even the surgeon acknowledged that the ears are not symmetrical. What makes this even more frustrating is that otoplasty is generally considered a relatively straightforward procedure, yet I now have to deal with a result that doesn't look right. The most brutal part is that I have to wait another three months for the final healing process before I can undergo revision surgery. Knowing that I'll have to live with this outcome for months before anything can be done about it is really upsetting.

I can see it, but it doesnt look that bad. Huge ascension anyway imo. Now you can cover or partially cover your ears with your sides too.

thanks for the kind words, yes I will grow out my hair until it at least covers the tops of my ears, and I will keep it that way until Im able to have the revision surgery.

do you think I should go to my previous surgeon for a revision surgery, which would probably be free or less expensive or go with an other surgeon?

after these kind of results i probably wouldnt try my luck with the same surgeon, i d probably go with a different surgeon wholl actually pin your ears even if you have to pay twice, but thats why u should never get plastic surgery on a budget, there is always something that can go wrong, i d go to turkey, the surgeons there are actually bp ed enough for visible results, i went to dr ali medzegevi, kind of pricey, but there are many more cheap good surgeons there

paid 2.9k as well but i also went with the most expensive one in turkey, yeah the final results will probably settle in 4-6 weeks, i mean i can barely tell a difference between the before and after already, so i can only assume the final results will be very close to your before, tbf your one ear looks okay but the other one looks basically the same
