My parents think Medicaid is evil

I wanted to sign up for Medicaid because I’m turning 26 and my part time job doesn’t give me health insurance. They want me to quit my job that I have now and just “find a new one” that will give me health insurance as a benefit.

I’m SEVERELY AUTISTIC and I cannot handle big changes well. I just want to be able to keep the job I have right now because I’m not ready to change my entire life around by searching for a new job

My parents Think that since Medicaid is a government program that it’s a form of communism. And once I give the Medicaid people my information they will “ do whatever they want with me. They might even say “no we aren’t going to cover you for that”

I don’t know what to do. I don’t want to change my whole life around

Yeah, that's kinda the problem of insurance in the US.
Keep your job if you like it. Put some money aside for emergencies.
Open a second bank account and put all the money you save up there.
