I came to the realization my pariah status in high school went both ways. Here's what I mean by that: Even though my peers didn't want to be my friend, I didn't want to be their friend.

Case in point: When I got stuck going over a classmate's house for a 4 person group project in high school, I hated every second of it.

And no, the fact I hated every second of the group project with classmates at some guy from my class's house had nothing to do with simply hating the schoolwork.

We spent barely any time on the project itself. We mainly just hung out. Yet I was miserable.
