My objective is to get a rhinoplasty, a blepharoplasty and a genioplasty. I've always had a gigantic and irrational hangup/procrastination problem about this, and I need accountability. I'll update this thread regularly with my every and any progress: called, went to rdv, etc. If I don't update it for more than two weeks, come kick my butt and insult me.
My primary goal is not sexuality but better quality of life/reaching a personal goal. Sexuality is a very secondary goal.
So far here's what happened:
October 4, 2018: called a surgeon specialist of rhinoplasties, former chief of plastic surgery in a prestigious public hospital, and with numerous good reviews on google.
RDV is set for end of December. So you should expect a delay of at least three months for first consultations with top surgeons. Takeaway from this is obvious: you can't get surgery on an impulse, and you should call to take rdvs asap.
October 5, 2018: called another surgeon. Rdv in 2 months. I'll go to every surgeon and then make my choice.
October 11, 2018: a friend who is an expert in plastic surgery recommended that I be very careful about the surgeon I choose. What's most important according to him is not the qualifications of the surgeon, but the number of similar surgeries he has performed in his career. Many surgeons hold prestigious titles, but provide sub-par / random results due to lack of practice. Ideally you need to aim for old surgeons (45+) given that most begin their practice only at 35 (14+ years of study) and undisputed specialists (hundreds of surgeries, tens of published results, regularly go to international conferences.)
I'll retain the RDVs I've got so far, but I think I'll have to travel to a foreign country for real, undisputed specialists in the particular surgery.
I'm still researching international specialists right now.
So far: 2 preliminary RDVs in the pipeline, 0 act planned, 0 act done.
