There are going to be people who argue that sex is a biological imperative of ours, which justifies casual sex with multiple partners.
But, presumably, we are not animals. And sex is not a biological necessity in the same way that eating, breathing, and drinking water are. We’ve created an entire system of morals and laws that restricts how much we can indulge our primal instincts. I don’t see why sex should be any different.
Not that there should be any legal restrictions on who we have sex with and how many partners we have, but self-restraint with regards to sex I think is a noble cause.
Largely because most of us are eventually going to be in long term relationships at some point later in our lives. And I think most of us, when pressed, would probably not want our partners to have had tons of meaningless sex before us.
