have dentist appt in a week going to larp tmj to dentist when they ask if i have any questions ill say my jaws clicking then get referred to ortho so my parents will actually take me then hopefully get expansion

I'm uncertain how i would bring this up directly with my parents and when i have brought similar things up such as my severe overbite i was ridiculed by my father for being insecure and told im perfect just how i am by my mother

Would my idea at the dentists office work?
At the end of the check up they ask if you have any questions. I feel they wouls be more opened to the idea of an ortho consult or anything following that if it was referred to us by a dentist even of i guided their words.

Yeah ask the dentist about your palate. I was referred to an ortho by my dentist because I had an total subhuman maxilla when I was young and it was causing breathing issues
