But if the whole point of gaining fat is to increase soft tissue for under eye support, how does it make sense to say it’s “easy to lose” afterward? The moment you cut and lose that fat, you lose the exact tissue volume you’re claiming is beneficial. You can’t have it both ways — either the fat stays and provides support (along with the bloated look), or you cut and lose both the fat and the supposed under eye benefit. That logic completely collapses under scrutiny.

That’s not how facial fat distribution works. You don’t get to pick and choose which fat “stays” when you’re cutting. Periorbital fat is actually one of the first to diminish with overall facial fat loss, especially in lean or high cortisol individuals.
Stress can accelerate under eye hollowing via cortisol related collagen breakdown, but it’s not the main factor — it just worsens what’s already happening through volume loss (fat + bone + skin thinning).
