So recently I began doing neck workouts. I already have a very strong jawline so that is not my concern. My concern is that my jaw is wider than my neck so I am trying to widen my neck in an attempt to have better ratios. Anyways I have been doing weighted neck curls and I have noticed some gains, but the problem is that it seems the muscle underneath my tongue/jawline is enlarging aswell, especially during a workout I notice the pump and it seems as though it makes my jawline significantly less sharp taking away my jawlines structure. That being said I was wondering if any large brain individual had thoughts on this and how I can workout neck without ruining my jawline
 
I mean keeping both is a sort of contradiction. I think to make serious neck gains you would have to be in a calorie surplus, or else I think training neck would just define your neck more. But in a calorie surplus, your jawline will become less defined. My advice probably would be to neck train in a surplus than cut, don't know any other neck exercises to grow your neck. Otherwise, probably just choose which is more important to you.
 
Eh it’s not really a problem of putting on the neck muscles and putting on fat as a result of not being in deficit. I keep my jawline may heavier bf anyways. What I’m concerned about is developing a muscle underneath my toungue and jaw that will make my jawline look less sharp. That’s the problem. Not the jawline shape being reduced by fat
