2 orthos said I need premolar extractions (+3) to fix dental midline shift, and I’d need braces to fix bimax protrusion. This is all due to a premolar extracted as a kid (#12 or 13) or as other orthos say (upper #5?) and nothing was done to help track it etc
Now the issue is there’s also of stigma because this can and usually recesses you. Would this happen to me? Second ortho said since I have a large tongue and full lips I wouldn’t have this problem because the bottom would retract more than the top, and the top wouldn’t retract as much or so he said “Top teeth would retract 1/3 and bottom teeth would retract 2/3”, now that sounds bad…. My chin would be even weaker no???
What do I do in this situation, I don’t want to look worse
