Need advice. I'm considering getting bimax (impaction + genio). Xrays included

I have a long face. I've been checking my xrays and comparing my profile to the average, and realized that the line formed between upper and lower teeth is at around -10 degree angle, while the normal angle is around 0. I believe that if I got my maxilla reduced by a few mm to make my bite angle more horizontal, my face would become less long, my lower jaw would rotate and become more projected, and I could also add a genio to get a stronger and more prominent chin.

Please I need your advice on this. Do you feel this is a good idea, would it help me improve? Do you have suggestions for any other procedures that could benefit me?

Thank you

Yes a bimax with rotation seems like a good idea.
You can probably do surgery-first as well, bite looks ok.

Yeah my bite is normal. I would also love to get this surgery without having to go through previous orthodontic work. Seems like a waste of time and money.

I have a feeling that after the impaction my bite will remain good. Its very unlikely that it could lead to developing an underbite, because for that the mms of maxilla reduced would need to be considerable.

I've been doing more research and realized that my occlusal plane is around 15 degrees which is way too high. No wonder why my face is long and my philtrum is so big.

In my case, in order to get a more horizontal occlusal plane, and therefore a more horizontal and forward jaw, do I need bimax with ccw rotation, or do I also need to reduce the length of the maxilla by getting maxillary impaction?

usually impacting is used to achieve ccw

Hi, im no expert whatsoever but is this aligned to Frankfort horizontal plane?

Also this is a CT or CBCT Scan, not an X-Ray

I thought my Occlusal Plane from my Lateral X-Ray was Flat, so no CCW would be possible but someone pointed out that it wasn't Aligned and on the FHP Aligned Version my Occlusal Plane is definitely not Flat, so it looks like there is some Room for CCW to open my Airway.

Just pointing this out because i didn't know (not sure if you know already).

That's a lot of useful info. Thank you.

Following those guidelines, I feel like my scans are pretty much aligned to the frankfurt horizontal. Which means my occlusal and mandibular planes are way too high. This is caused by my downgrown and long maxilla.
