Need someone whos high iq for bimax planning (getting soon)

Doing this with a local surgeon who I trust and this is the plan so far:

- Maxilla: 4mm advancement
- Mandible: 4.5mm advancement
- No ccw rotation due to jaw being flat and ideal already

From what I know I am recessed about 12mm in the mandible so this clearly doesn't fully fix my recession. Surgeon said that since they can't do any ccw rotation, this is the furthest they can bring my jaws forward based on my anatomy. He said we could add the genio and this is where I need help determining if I should do a forward and downward genio and how many mm for the best results.

I have the full virtual planning for the surgery as well.

if ur teeth r fully decomped n u dont have any malocclusion theres really not much else u can do tbh

N bimax for u would mainly jus improve ur side Idt it will do much for ur front

Unless u get downward genio n then u would also be able to get maybe a couple more mm of projection w the genio ofc but i dont really think u need it ur chin isnt that bad but it is wide asf tho

my overbite is like 5mm so ya. so will i just have to get a genio for a few mm then just do filler afterwards to fully fix the recession

It's pretty poor movements on the jaw but who knows maybe the genio will end up carrying it, I guess we'll see. I hope you're doing this on some sort of healthcare system tho, if this is costing you five digits I wouldn't do it

Costing about $8k out of pocket and the rest is covered by insurance. Orthodontist just made me sign a paper because both my surgeon and ortho don’t think I should do it

Why are you guys saying movements not enough. We are talking 4mm forward movement of maxila with no ccw rotation. How much movement do you guys want. Moving A and ANS point which is what this is going to do, 4mm is already quite decent. Remember there is no rotation here. You are risking an already not great lip and paradental area.

Am I missing something here??
